I'm fine with it as long as they mash-up the Star Fox and F-Zero universes cannonically and make Captain Falcon and co. guest racers too. Cap needs some spotlight again.
Zelda is great in Ultimate, even more so than in 4. Her Farore's Wind kills even more reliably and is a guaranteed kill over as low as 50% on certain stage ceilings or platfoms, so opponents have to keep very far from her (which is difficult considering most top tiers are close-combat). Her Phantom is also improved since you can use it to setup combos somewhat like Robin's Arcfire. People online usually shield on impulse when they see Phantom charging, which leads for a very easy grab before it comes slashing fowards.
So I think she'll get much higher tiers than what people are expectating. They're just being conservative and considering movesets like they were in 4.
@Bengyman there's a perfectly fine reason for "always Australia"
In mobile software development, there's something called Softlaunching. It means launching the app early in just a select few countries and is useful for when you need to gauge user-dependable systems such as in-game economy, monetization and retention.
The Australia part comes from the fact that, usually, developers pick countries with the most similar culture and economy as their target audience in order to gauge the game's profitability in a much more controlled environment and adjust prices as needed.
Since they chose Australia, I must only assume they're Softlaunching the game to test their success in the USA, since the two countries are so similar in those measuring terms. Canada is usually the first choice for this, but I think either they didn't want to spend that much money into marketing the app in such a big territory or they're taking care of not overload their servers do they work with a smaller userbase. This is exactly why they softlaunch Pokemon GO there aswell.
@PotatoTheGreat We all do. But I was hoping Niantic would be a little more invested in bringing it here ASAP because of the Olympics. I mean, there WILL be tons of outsiders looking for exotic Pokemon when visiting
@CapeSmash The CPU would still be able to recreate matches if Nintendo made plans in advance to save versions changelogs inside the game and make it downgrade back to these versions when those specific versions are replayed. This isn't a limitation, it's just bad, rushed design.
@TruthBeTold They wouldn't glitch out if Nintendo thought about that in advance and made changelog "backups" so the game can remember changes between versions and re-applies those differences back to original versions during replays.
What? MONSTER Games did develop Pilotwings Resort. The ones from Excitebike World Rally and Excitebots. Next Level Games only did crappy games such as Mario Strikers. Both studios are pretty different, quality-wise. That's why I'm afraid of what will become of LM2.

Re: Guide: How To Find Your Rhythm In Zelda: Cadence of Hyrule
@Rexy1021 I expect it to have extended lifetime support from Brace Yourself Games just like Crypt of the Necrodancer still has even years in.
Re: Random: We Really Hope The New Nintendo Switch Looks Like This
The design is beautiful but it'd take me more than that to be forced into same-level analog sticks again. WiiU's was bad enough.
Re: Random: This Local Newspaper Seems To Think Pokémon Gun Is Real
Rough when you realize "mainstream media" is unable to type www.nintendo.com on a browser and check factual data.

Re: Two Brand New Fire Emblem Warriors Characters Get Revealed, As Well As Marth
They could've gone simply with Alphonse and Sharena as protagonists... They're generic but charismatic enough too.
Re: Protect Your Nintendo Switch's Screen With These Fetching Dock Covers
@Drummertist Do you know if Nintendo's official screen protector is also glass? Because I also feel plastic is a little to sticky to the fingers

AFAIK, Zero Time Dillema takes place after Virtue's Last Reward
Re: Interview: Meet Antony Del Rio - Voice Actor for Pit / Dark Pit
VGH had a much longer, content-filled VIDEO interview with Antony back in 2012, too. It's kinda funny to hear Pit's voice coming out of his mouth.

@FonistofCruxis Agreed.
Re: Namco's Harada: Smash Bros. Design is Sakurai's Job
No Tekken characters please.
Or any other Namco characters.
Or any other third party characters. [2]
Also, the text is missing a "by" between "handled" and "Masahiro Sakurai".

Sonic Kart 7, yes.
Re: Nintendo Download: 12th April 2012 (Europe)
@Pengaweeno You`ve got your Zelda updated, so quit whining. I`m already happy to have ambassor games updated to eShop standards on a regular basis.
