Re: Award Winning Short Film Shows the Power of Zelda and Escapism

Hey, at least her mother cared enough to make her daughter do her homework (and do it right) when she found that F, even if her parenting methods were a little...er...questionable. I come from a broken home too, and my parents didn't give a crap what I did. I could have dropped out of school altogether and they wouldn't have given a damn. It's a miracle I turned out alright. I was always a good kid at heart so I chose to do the right thing, even without their support.

Re: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Hits 3DS

Not interested. The only thing games like this does for me is make me miss the old Sega. And the great games they USED to put out. James, you say that Vyse and Panzer Dragoon equals a day-one buy for you, but to me, sticking Vyse and a Panzer Dragoon-themed level into their silly kart racer is no substitute for the real things. No substitutes for actual follow-ups to these once great series'. It's just a tactic (and not even a very good one at that) to get gullible people like you to buy their little racing game. Sorry to be such a downer, but that's my 2 cents.

Re: Talking Point: What New Super Mario Bros. 2 Means for 3DS and Nintendo

Don't you guys realise that there are new kids every year, enjoying Mario for the very first time? He may be getting old to you — of course he is, you've been playing him for 30 years — but he's brand-spanking-new to several kids around the world.

So unless he gets some serious competition (which doesn't look like it'll ever happen. I mean if it hasn't happened by now...), gaming somehow dies altogether, or the human race stops making babies, I don't think Mario will ever stop being popular.

Re: MDK2 Dev Will Never Develop for Nintendo Again

The REAL question is, did he know about Nintendo's policy before he decided to put his game on WiiWare? I don't know much about the biz, but I'm sure there are "disclaimers" or "user agreements" that have to be read and signed before any game can be put on WiiWare. And I'm sure they mention the 40mb limit and the 6000 sales thing. So if he knew this beforehand, but still decided to go ahead with it, then he can't really get mad at Nintendo now. He knew what he was getting into. Sounds to me like he's just upset his game didn't sell well.
