Re: The FunKey S Is A Handheld Console That Fits On Your Keyring

Coolie

@Roger_Brazil The people making it are from France, not China.

@Discostew I would use my phone, but therein lies two issues: not only do phones not have physical buttons, which make the gameplay experience much better in my opinion, but I have an iPhone, which makes keeping emulators on my phone a major pain.

@Silly_G Since the FunKey has a screen size of 240x240 and the GBA only has a screen size of 240x160, there shouldn't have to be any stretching or scaling to make it fit on the screen.

For the question about next generation consoles, I’m personally not interested in getting a Series X or PS5 since I play games on my Switch (and would get the “next generation” Switch), meaning that I’m not undecided, but the other option is being uninterested in consoles, which isn’t exactly accurate either.

Re: Video: The Latest Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Switch Trailer Shows Off Fresh Gameplay

@BuckeyeNerd Also from the perspective of someone who has played Pokémon Mystery Dungeon before, exploring dungeons is far less tedious than trying to grind levels in the mainline games. The new auto mode is optional, so for a truer Mystery Dungeon experience I wouldn’t recommend using it. The upgraded graphics and mechanics will breath new life into the franchise while returning to the series’s roots. Anyone who also has a DS and is off put by the $60 price tag could instead get the still great Blue Rescue Team and Explorers of Sky, but this new entry has cleared several of the faults that plagued the 3DS PMD games, while still upgrading the series for a new generation.

Re: Xbox Boss Doesn't See Nintendo As A "Main Competitor" In The Next-Gen War

Considering that not everyone has access to internet fast enough to stream games properly at their house, let alone on the go, considering streaming to be the ‘future’ of the industry is a bit far-fetched. Aside from that, even with a sufficient internet connection, there are other reasons some may not want to exclusively stream their games, such as a lack of access to your games when there is an internet outage, the inability to have a physical copy of a streamed game, and potential subscription costs.

Re: Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa Thinks Cloud Gaming Is "A Long Way Off"

Coolie

My internet connection is not good enough for cloud gaming at my house, let alone spotty data on the go. No matter how much Internet speeds improve in more populated areas, ISPs have no incentive in providing fast internet or data coverage to rural areas. Since such regions can therefore not reliably use cloud gaming, it would be quite a shame if the entire industry chose to go in that direction.

Re: TT Games Says LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga Runs Like A "Dream" On Switch

Coolie

@Tandy255 I remember the developers saying when the game was announced that they when making new levels they wanted to focus on areas not included in existing Lego Star Wars games. So while I guess there could be levels from the old Lego Star Wars games, the fact that they said it wouldn’t be a remaster and that the combat system will be updated leads me to think that they are building this game from the ground up.
