I suspect that perhaps all those in the comments criticizing the author and "people" (not really sure which people they are referring to other than some monolithic strawman) about longing to bring back the Virtual Console didn't get past the headline and failed to read the part saying "...why not supplement the subscription service with a digital store that lets us buy the games, too?"
In other words, the argument here isn't to replace NSO with VC, but rather to allow users the option to purchase NSO games (similar to how Gamepass allows you to purchase games on the subscription service). Sure, it might potentially impact Nintendo's revenue stream if some users buy a few heavy-hitters and cancel their subscription, but as someone else in the comments mentioned the core value proposition of NSO (at least the basic version - expansion pass is another story) is to play your games online and backup your saves to the cloud ... the rest is icing on the cake!
@OwenOtter I'm just playing through this game right now (just started Act Two) and agree with everything you said. Very emotional story, fantastic voice-acting, and fun to play (traversal and combat mechanics), even if the performance can be a bit choppy on Switch.
Where’s the poll option for “I’d love to, but my iPhone is so old (model 6S) that it’s not compatible with the iOS version (16.0) needed to run the app”?
Admittedly, that’s a pretty niche option. Perhaps it’s time for an upgrade … [stubbornly clutches on to his outdated kit]
@dmcc0 I second the Mobapad M6 HD. Got a set a few weeks ago and it's been a real gamechanger for portable play. Does just about everything the joycons do (HD rumble, wireless, gyro, NFC for amiibo support ... only thing missing is infrared sensor but only a small handful of games use it anyway) and much more, including hall effect sticks (bye bye drift!), proper d-pad, mechanical microswitch buttons, programmable macros (not for me but some might be into that kind of thing), premium build (including a nice, tight fit into the rails that feel nice and solid without any wobble) and, most importantly, very ergonomic and easy on the hands/wrists.
(I promise I'm not a shill for the manufacturer ... I just got them recently and am enjoying the heck out of them!)
Edit: Oh, and back to the original thread of this article, allow the unit to fit into the dock.

@Axecon I always yell that out IRL as I'm about to call the beast lol
Re: 'Mina The Hollower', Yacht Club's Retro Zelda-Inspired Adventure, Scores Switch 2 Release Date
@Picola-Wicola: Same with me re: Pipistrello. Fantastic Zelda-like game and I probably would not have bought it if I hadn't tried the demo on a whim.

Re: Video: Satisfye's New Switch Grip Should Satisfy Handheld Fans
@dmcc0 Brilliant! My one complaint was indeed the lack of a centre attachment to convert it into a controller but will try your workaround.
