Just a conspiracy theory from the top of my head. SEGA aims to make this game it's biggest fail to date. Just so in 2026 or when the project is cancelled in 2025 and all budget has been wasted the company can be bought by Microsoft. Safe this post, mark my words.
This collection really looks beautiful. It makes me rethink about every one of them and which reminds me how desperately I want to be able to play Xenoblade Chronicles X on my Switch. I truly miss that game. And to my recollection one of the last few Wii U titles which isn't playable on the Switch. Side note: I don't think it's a question if for example The Wind Waker comes to the Switch. But I fear they might forget to bring Xenoblade Chronicles X over.
I definitely enjoy this game it has the depth with tactics that I personally really seek for in a football sports title.
There is allot to customize and I'd say this game is quite easy getting into. Meaning you can make it really easy with the settings and work your way into harder matches by upping the difficulty. That's something I really enjoy about the game to be honest.
Yes, sometimes I am wondering where some of the settings are located or what to tweak to get the desired result, but that's basically because there are quite allot of options. To put it like this: I'd rather have it like this instead of the game lacking options to customize, but that's based on my preference.
And being disappointed by Madden titles year after year, I gladly bought this game instead of a year old game with a new skin which focusses on MUT (Madden Ultimate Team) and keeps trying to get me to pay with microtransactions, this game feels like a breath of fresh air.
So far I haven't yet have had any performance issues on my part. Like I said I really like the tactics, the play calling, the depth of options so I prefer this over a more arcade experience any day. Just remember that heads up before you get in.
If I have some more hours under my belt and experience any issues or other 'faults' I will be sure to update my comment.
@TheJGG Agreed as much as I love the games, I seriously don't need anymore plastic figurines in my home. Not saying people can't like Amiibo, it's just not for me. Glad to see no functionality is 'locked' behind owning/purchasing them as @Otoemetry mentioned.
@Bobb If by constrained gameplay you mean the time restraint by the Doomsday Clock ticking away (pressuring you to do thing in certain time) I have played the demo as well and after reading this article I thought I'm going to pick up the Dr. Fausts bundle anyway before it goes away. And I was pleasantly surprised by a large amount of option for tweaking the game to you personal wishes, including disabling the Doomsday Clock feature. So all I'm saying if that's the feature which is holding you back from purchasing it, you might want to reconsider because like I said you can disable that feature in the options menu. I bought the game and can honestly say I enjoy the game a whole lot.
@Ryu_Niiyama I played the demo before and after reading this news I bought the Dr. Fausts bundle and I must say I really enjoy it. It can be a tough cookie but I always think it's fair (my mistake) if my characters die. And an important thing you might want to take in your consideration. People have been complaining about the Doomsday Clock (you have to meet certain objectives within a set timeframe), I can say after I bought the full version I was confronted with a large option menu that gave allot of options to tweak the game. And I mean a big lot of options including disabling the Doomsday Clock. So if the time constraint mechanic is something that turns you off from the game (it was the biggest thing holding me back to be honest, but I decided well h*ll I'll buy it anyway if it's disappearing from the shop) then I can tell you, you don't have to worry about it. Because now you can turn that off in the option menu.
I went with a main series Pokemon game and I'd like a Animal Crossing game, heck I even prefer a Wii or Gamecube remake if it's just a game in the original series instead of another spin-off like Amiibo Festival. I like those Amiibo much more then I like the game. And I know it's probably never ever happening but I would like to a follow up on Skies of Arcadia on the NX. With SEGA (being mostly Sonic) and Nintendo collaborating on games I would love to see another Skies of Arcadia game. The theme, the characters, I think the franchise really suits a Nintendo console. And another (exclusive) RPG on Nintendo's next console won't hurt them I think.
I am going to get this without a single doubt if ... this will come over to Europe. But it will be a must buy for me. Story of Seasons gave me the feeling of playing the original Harvest Moon which is a rare feeling I haven't had for fifteen years. I'm very much looking forward to this game.
Now can I please have my pure Poison type legendary Pokemon!? I've been waiting ages for what is personally my favorite Pokemon type to get a legendary Pokemon. And I mean a pure legendary, one type being only Poison. Not that Arceus thing which can be any type as it's mood seems fit. Maybe a relatively large venomous spider or that might be too easy.
Somehow the girl in this game reminds me of the main character in 'Gurumin A Monstrous Adventure' for the PSP. I'm looking forward to playing this game.
I vote for a Sonic cross Yakuza game this year, get on with it SEGA, spot a golden idea when you see one. I even have a title for it: Sonic Like A Dragon. Can't wait to scrape Dr. Eggman's face over the concrete or force his head through a bicycle wheel and meet Amy in a host bar. Already looking forward to it!
I've never played one of the Battle Network titles before but I'm curious to try one. I did play the Megaman on the Gamecube which looked simular as a style but was mostly a sidescroller, these games on the GBA seem to be a more strategy type of games. Can anybody recommend which part is best to start with from the GBA games?
@sevex I believe it doesn't include a Japanese audio track, at least not in the PAL release of the game. Because it's packed with spoken dialogue. I don't know about the USA release though.
Personally I'd rather see classical music artists perform game music, luckily there are many artists impressions of classic Nintendo games music on Youtube. This just isn't my type of music, but I can see it being good publicity for Nintendo targeting a different audience which is focused on electronic music.
@Chandlero same goes for me, wishing I still had the ability to play such large games as these for a whole day. Well hoping for a free weekend after this release.
