Only worry I would have if it hurt it's chances of coming over. I remember Trials and Tribulations nearly didn't make Europe because of the nature of the cases.

If you look at the Units sold alone per console, it was actually 11th. It's only 19th because of multiformat sales from other titles such as FIFA.

That's pretty darned impressive.

I wouldn't call that disappointing. Sure, it may not have charted as high as other 3DS titles this year, but that's very respectable for a type of game that never usually makes it outside of Japan.

I wish Nintendo would do another Wave Race. Would look gorgeous in 3D.

The major competition Animal Crossing faces is Last of Us.

It will certainly obtain a top 5 ranking, would be interesting to see if it can outsell the multi-format series such as Fifa.

Either way, it'll certainly continue the juggernaut that the 3DS is currently ruling on.

Anyone have previous experience with getting their free Extra Games copy on the day of the title's release?

I love how Animal Crossing went from a Japan only obscure game to one of Nintendo's most successful franchises.

Really hoping this title will capsize the 3DS into more success. Much looking forward to grabbing my free copy.

Not to get fanboy-ish, but last I checked, the Wii outsold both the PS3 and XBOX360 in the last console war, both casual and hardcore gamers.

Why do game developers get this perception that Nintendo must go multi-format?

I for one am happy that Nintendo stick to their own stance and refuse to give into peer pressures from other companies/shareholders.

I'm still proud to be a Nintendo guy, as I have been for the past two decades, and still feel today that I get the best out of my gaming hobby with this company. 3DS was the best investment I made in recent memory.

Not that I'm denying chavs and the like buy it, and of course it sells by the load on the brand name alone, but hasn't the quality of the FIFA series greatly improved over the past few years? I seem to recall this latest title getting very positive reviews.

Happy to see Lego City carrying on the sales momentum, and much good that Luigi's Mansion hasn't creeped out of the top ten yet.
