This is how you do a beta/demo. People that are complaining are perhaps too used to companies like EA; when playing their "demos" you can bet your ass you're actually playing a slice of the full thing, with all the feedback being somewhat useless.
Personally I tried the demo and I found it decent; nothing spectacular. But after seeing how much they're trying to improve, I might consider buying it if the costumers' reception is good.
It's good for their reputation that they're improving on it but it's sad that the physical version for the Switch is useless 'cause of how much the future patch will (hopefully) improve.
I love when companies remaster things the right way. My only concern is this game is quite possibly too short since it's a beat'em up (I don't like open world games with tons of filler but I believe a modern approach to old genres to tweak them & add RPG aspects is a good thing)...but I'll try to support it 'cause it would be amazing to get a sequel afterwards if it sells well.
One of the worst ports ever, at least on Switch. There's no reason for this game to be released in this state; as a collector of physical copies, they can release 10 patches that fix SOME of these issues: it's meaningless to me. Having said that, I'm traded my copy for the PS4 one and I'm in love with the game. It's such a shame they didn't do the right thing for the platform that needed it the most (since I've read the Switch version was the best selling one).
Astral Chain seems like the best third party title the Switch could get this year. I was rooting for Bloodstained to be that title but we know how that port went. I hope it has a lengthy campaign (by action game standards) and that it encourages replayability by unlocking costumes or something like that in New Game+.
Perfect excuse to put Smash Bros in my Switch again. Having said that, I don't know what is Nintendo waiting: either announce the rumored Metroid Prime Trilogy remaster once and for all or at the very least create a collection of the 2D games.
Against my better judgement I did preorder this game on Switch because in my country games for this console are just harder to get if you don't do it beforehand. I hope they fix at the very least the framerate & input lag; I was always ready for the visual downgrade (though considering this is no GTAV it's still kind of inexcusable?), but the issues being reported are very disappointing.
I haven't been crazy about this game since I think it's visually a downgrade from previous ones, which I find absurd since every resource should go into making the character designs look as good as possible. It kinda looks like a budget otome game than anything else. Having said that, as a fan of the franchise's gameplay I will still support it but it'd be nice to know if the physical version will actually include those 11.9 giga in a cart or not. I feel like Nintendo should be more outspoken about this 'cause I don't see the point in buying physical if the whole game (sans patches) isn't included.
I've asked this many times but never get a good answer (maybe there isn't one)....is there ANY site that features a database that keeps track of which physical editions on Switch include the whole thing in the cart ? So no Megaman Collection X where half of the games aren't even there.
As for what this article details: disgusting. I'm not against digital games at all: sometimes there are cool sales and it's very convenient for indie developers that can't justify the expense of producing a physical version...but that's where I draw the line. I like collecting physical copies and for them to include a playable, decent version of a game without the need of a patch to make it "good" (so i.e no MK11 or Doom on Switch, to name a FEW).
I wish Nintendo would implement a policy to make third party developers be more responsible towards the consumers when it comes to ports: no shortcuts like highly compressed audio just to avoid paying for a more expensive cart, no compromises to the visual aspect of the game unless the Switch 100% requires it, no "we'll patch it eventually" which makes physical releases meaningless.
If there's a physical edition that includes the best ones in the franchise (Hard Corps absolutely needs to be there), I will support it 100%. I'd like for Konami to reconsider releasing a physical edition of the Castlevania Collection as well and if the Contra one sells enough maybe that's not out of the question?
I'm the type of guy that loves story modes in fighting games even if I care about the gameplay the most. Having said that, I don't need "lore" in a kart racing game: only solid gameplay, cool looking characters and a LOT of tracks. I feel Sumo Digital dropped the ball with Team Sonic Racing. In isolation, it's a pretty good game. But if you're a Sega fan and you're coming of the previous games in the franchise, this feels like a huge step back and I decided to skip it 'cause of that.

I'd really like to get a physical version of this, I love the art style & the gameplay it's going for.

I'd save money and visit it if they included a Metroid section.
