How To Get Sanrio Hello Kitty amiibo Cards
For those who were unable to acquire Sanrio amiibo cards the first time around with Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Nintendo has been reprinting these amiibo cards semi-regularly since March 26th 2021.
We'd advise against paying silly money for them on auction sites, no matter how desperate you are to get your hands on them.
How To Get Sanrio Hello Kitty Villagers to Move to Your Island

There are six Sanrio-themed villagers in all:
- Rilla: Peppy personality Gorilla villager, inspired by Hello Kitty
- Marty: Lazy personality Bear villager, inspired by Pompompurin
- Étoile: Normal personality Sheep villager, inspired by Little Twin Stars
- Chai: Peppy personality Elephant villager, inspired by Cinnamoroll
- Chelsea: Normal personality Deer villager, inspired by My Melody
- Toby: Smug personality Rabbit villager, inspired by Kerokerokeroppi
To invite these villagers to move to your island, you'll first need to get them to visit your campsite... a few times. This will, of course, necessitate you having built a campsite on your island.
Scan the amiibo cards at the Nook Stop terminal in Resident Services under the "Invite a(miibo) Camper", and have them visit your island. Immediately after, head over to the campsite and chat with them until they request that you craft them an item.
Just as with inviting other villagers at your campsite to move to your island, you'll need to successfully execute these tasks three times before being given the option to ask them to "move" to your island.
Unfortunately, you can only invite one camper per day, per island - there's no using your alternate profiles to get additional scans.
However, you can still acquire the Sanrio furniture and clothing items while you hustle for new neighbors...
How To Get Sanrio Hello Kitty Furniture and Items Fast

To obtain each of the six Sanrio characters' respective furniture and clothing items, you'll need to scan their Sanrio amiibo cards at either the Nook Stop kiosk via the "Invite a(miibo) Camper" feature at Resident Services, or on Harvey's Island.
Once scanned, you'll have unlocked all of the Sanrio items for purchase in the "Promotion" tab of Nook Shopping.
While you can scan all six amiibo at Harvey's Island in one go - and thereby gain access to purchasing all of the Sanrio and Hello Kitty-themed furniture at once - you're still limited to purchasing only 5 catalog items per day, as with any Nook Shopping purchases.
However, there is a trick that can often be used in these types of situations: while you can't scan in multiple villagers per day to the campsite, you *can* scan in all of the villagers on every Switch profile you may have created on your island (up to 8) - thereby allowing you to purchase up to 40 of the Sanrio amiibo furniture and clothing items per day. But where's the fun in that?
Additionally, if you happen to be unable to acquire the amiibo cards themselves, but know someone who has, you can work with them to get you the items, too - however, you won't be able to catalogue them and reorder them later without the amiibo cards yourself, as they're special promotional items. Therefore, you'll need your friends to give you your own sets of items. Probably easier to just get the amiibo cards yourself, yeah?

Look forward to ordering this stuff later today! Especially the Pompompurin set...
Are these coming to the UK as I can't find any pre orders for them?
@Mr-Fuggles777
They'll hopefully be restocked through Nintendo's Official UK Store.

I think they were at some point.
@RupeeClock no official announcement if they are definitely coming though?
Might just grab them tonight then instead of waiting on the off chance I can grab a set.
@Mr-Fuggles777 They're being released "towards the end of March", that's all Nintendo UK has said about it.
But I'd expect them to sell out quickly
Seems like a missed opportunity not to have Hello Kitty herself visit the island, but that seems like an intentional decision on behalf of their brand.
@Kimyonaakuma at least I don't have to feel guilty using Tagmo or grabbing spoofed cards off of Etsy if Nintendo doesn't make them readily available.
Étoile looks to me like she should be a Peppy, not a Normal villager.
Oh glory day, they're finally here ^u^ I'm so happy ♡^3^♡
Genuinely thought this was about them going up for a UK preorder then. Ah well
@fox_mattcloud Same. Oh well, guess we wait...
Apart from being confused as to why Hello Kitty is a gorilla as opposed to, well, a kitty, this looks pretty cool. I'm not going to buy it but I can say that this looks really cool.
I went to scan my cards in today to find that one of them (Marty) has stopped working. I even checked it with an nfc info app on my phone, which recognised the rest of the set as all being nfc chips, but got nothing from Marty. RIP Marty.
@ObeseChihuahua2 @Ulysses Seriously. As an old cis white guy I have this unnatural affection for Hello Kitty, and I was going to buy the pack of cards at Target to get Hello Kitty living on my island, but Kitty is a gorilla, not even a cat, a gorilla!?!?!? Well, that just saved me $6. I do like the items, but I ain't paying $6 for more furniture items I have no room for.
My Hello Kitty thing is very specific b/c honestly I've never even heard of the other ones. 🤷♂️
@rjejr The one I like is that pancake bear thing. At leas hamsters kind of resemble bears. But a gorilla? WHY?!
@ObeseChihuahua2 "But a gorilla? WHY?!"
Only explanation there is

Where is it available for pre-order in the US? I can't seem to find it
Animal Crossing should do a Peanuts collaboration. We need Snoopy and the gang on my island.
Man, I wish that there were Aggretsuko items in Animal Crossing.
Kerokerokeroppi is the best!
Any news on which stores in Europe will sell the cards?
I really wish the availability of these wasn't so limited. Not only in where they're going to be available (Target here in the US), but also that it's going to limited in quantity. I just hope if they do sell out, they have plans to restock them. At least for thé foreseeable future
Not to mention you can't order them online (at least to be shipped to your home).
Hmmm. I'm thinking I'm going to probably pass. I'm not a huge fan of amiibo cards. Or having to go out and go find the ones that I want. And also as a guy I'm not particularly crazy about Sanrio stuff. I would be happy to get the Legend of Zelda stuff back though. Give me the master sword pedestal, a triforce, and the Majora's Mask again. It'd be interesting to see them make more warp stuff. Maybe even add Pokemon stuff, it'd be interesting to have a Pokemon villager.
I'm hoping Target puts up reservations for the cards and not be first come first serve.
@Smores500 I'm in canada, so I don't know. I think it's at Target?
I'd love to give Nintendo my money for these but they don't seem all that interested.
Got my cards today. So much content!
