2 weeks to go salary day.
I still keep watching this KeyboardMania PS2 gameplay. I saw there was one seller from Tokopedia have this game with its peripheral.
@BruceCM So true! The PSP(and later the PS4) version with the new voice acting did not have the same charm. After all what is a man ... a miserable little pile of secrets!
@Zuljaras At the risk of ruining my non-existent reputation, I own Symphony of the Night on my PS4 and haven't even played it. What have I been doing with my life?

@Losermagnet Just play it. Also its soundtrack is sublime. I know this is given for a Castlevania game but you will appreciate its music. It is timeless ... actually I can praise Castlevania games non-stop. It is the BEST franchise for me.
That is why I can't wait for Resident Evil 8 as it looks like a modern take on Castlevania!
Well, I'll back Zuljiras up with strongly recommending you play it, @Losermagnet..... I only actually got to play it relatively recently & it's still a great game Just look up the original clips that have been uploaded to enjoy the proper dialogue
@Zuljaras@BruceCM thanks for the recommendations. I'm in the right mood for it - I just finished Bloodborne last week and it had some Castlevania vibes.
And Resident Evil 8 looks great! Totally stoked for that one.

No problem, I'm sure one of us can help if you do get stuck or anything, @Losermagnet.... I might have said about RE Village already but I don't think it really has Castlevania vibes
Still, introducing a vampire certainly makes it a lot more interesting, so I am looking forward to that! I'll try to finish it before Mass Effect Legendary Edition
@BruceCM i just appreciate the inclusion of classic monsters. I love that stuff. But it sounds like we may be following the same games this year 'cause I'm waiting for the Mass Effect Legendary Ed. too.

Thank goodness it's (finally) Hump Day. Good grief do some weeks drag. Time is an odd thing. Sometimes it flies by, other times it's almost like it took a vacation.
...Is now a good time to mention that the only Castlevania I've played/enjoyed was Super Castlevania IV? I've never been interested in the original NES/Famicom titles but am curious about some other series entries. I also liked what I played of the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate 3DS demo back in the day. Shame it never saw a digital release.
@TheJGG Definitely a worthy sacrifice! I have a couple purchases coming up where I'll also have to start skimping on the games a bit. I'm usually pretty good about staying on budget, but I do occasionally get a little carried away. Future new phone aside, I also need to get a replacement printer (Maybe...I might just stick with my public library or work out something at my job since my print jobs are few and far between) and need to fit in a bit of home improvement.
Agreed on world news. Although to an extent, US news likes going on about Covid-19 quite a bit too. I don't mind the actual NEWS here, though to try to get around bias I try to use different reliable sources towards the middle of the political spectrum. The 24/7 commentary and speculation though...ugh. So much of it is opinionated that I'm genuinely surprised it's allowed to air.
On Ramadan: While I'm familiar with how fasting works, this includes water as well? Most other beverages do make sense, and of course I could see that working as long as one is careful about their surrounding environment and daily activities. Food would be easier to pull off in my book. I would likewise try to be cognizant of the situation and not mention eating and drinking. I have accidentally slipped once in a somewhat similar context. A coworker gave up eating between meals for Lent, and I unwisely mentioned grabbing a snack someone left in the break room to them. Much luck with the fasting! I'm sure it takes time and practice to adapt, but I can appreciate the religious context.
I hope the rest of yesterday and today went better for you. I definitely get needing to vent lol. My work allows for free dress to an extent, though there are a few guidelines still. Part of why my group can get away with it is where we're stationed in the building; I've seen some people in other departments really dress up for the "suits" (Company outsiders, not corporate) the few times they roll around. In general, the environment is indeed casual.
The way I view social media is that it's a neutral tool, kind of like a knife; it has its good uses and purposes, but it can also seriously be abused. As mentioned, I still have a couple of accounts but am pretty remote in my management of them these days. I am glad to read that the girl you mentioned is doing very well. Props to her! I've never set up Instagram or bothered with it; my dislike of social media aside, it's just another irritating thing to manage.
No pressure on belting out shorter replies if you wish, btw.
@MarioLover92 I remember trying Big Rigs a couple times and just couldn't get into it lol. My short-term interest in racing aside, the game was an unfinished, boring, buggy mess. I feel sorry for the relative who bought the game, though it's possible they pulled it out of the bargain bin.
I roughly narrowed down that game to being one of the OutRun titles due to the simple fact that I did remember the game featuring actual cars. No dirt bikes, karts, buggies, etc. I most remember a tune from it, but it's possible that I'm either misremembering or haven't found the correct title after all. Said tune is what inspired my original search a few months ago. I wanted to hear it again.
@ThanosReXXX Now PIZZA joints, on the other hand....Good luck keeping me out of some of those! Burgers are one thing, but succulent slices of Italian pie....
@NintendoByNature Duly noted. Hope the LEGO Jurassic World sessions are going well, by the way.
@bimmy-lee I'm certain you've created plenty of awesome memories over the past year with Bimily and Bim Jr. I doubt you've messed them up TOO badly. Between stories I've heard from my own mother on some of her remote learners (before her school district made in-school learning mandatory this last quarter) and how "well" they did at home vs. now (Hint: they had help) and the not-so-great end of the homeschooling spectrum, I'm sure they'll be fine.
Man, I LOVE Oregon Trail! I've played the original all the way up through the third iteration of the game. Some edutainment games were crap back in the day and didn't bring in the fun factor, but there are some absolute gems out there that taught me a lot too. I liked a lot of the old Maxis SIM games, Math Blaster, Gizmos and Gadgets, the various Carmen Sandiego games, etc....Heck, one of my school computer labs even had Civilization III at one point!
@ogo79 That does make quite a bit of sense. Take the happiness when you can get it!
@Tyranexx thanks! We beat it abruptly the other day. I had no idea we were even that far. Completion percentage was 11% 🤣. But we still go back so he can be a Dino and tear things up or ride around in a jeep.
@Tyranexx it's a bummer that most of the Castlevania games are difficult to get ahold of. I'd like to try the PS2 games myself, but they're pretty expensive now. I was lucky to get the DS games before there prices were unreasonable.
Of the "classic-vania" I think 'Bloodlines/The New Generation' is my favorite.

I have a 39" capable of 1080p output. I think I'm set for now. No need to upgrade for the time being.
@NintendoByNature An abrupt ending? Sounds like the game is relatively short then! XD Though it would be worth diving back into just to run around as a brick dinosaur destroying everything. I wonder if a Godzilla introduction is in order?
@Losermagnet I'd like to try some of the titles you mentioned, but most of all I'd like to play Symphony of the Night. It seems to be a favorite of many and was very influential on gaming in general.
