@D-Star92 It does, it just makes it feel like people like the Switch 2 doing well, rather than enjoying games on it. I always use the "currently playing" thread when posting about games, and I use the "recently beat" thread for games I complete as well. I like traveling too, though it is limited. I can't drive so I use either Lyft to go to stores (usually making a day out of it to make the most of my trip), or go places with my friend once in a while. It is, the sounds of traveling right from my bedroom. Awesome, you've seen his videos too. Retro Bird's topics and videos are actually fun to watch.
Maybe, though it would be nice to at least try something new without having to go to a kiosk. Will admit, the Princess Peach Showtime demo sold me on the game.
No problem, just a really unique game.
Cool, Sutte Hakkun sparked interest with me for being a Satellaview game originally. Similarly, I've been playing Tuff E Nuff, that one SNES game with the bad box art on Nintendo Classics, honestly it's become one of my favorite fighting games. Would have never guessed it was fighting because of the bad box art, lol. Right now, I started Wario Land 3, having never played a Wario Land game before.
I think the Knuckles levels in Sonic Adventure might be unrelated. Sonic CD was just going back in time and then finding the robot generator, Knuckles had to find master emerald shards. Sonic Adventure did have some past elements mainly with Tikal.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
@Sunsy Speaking of which, I've been enjoying the Switch 2's games themselves. Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza are both really good games. I do like Kirby Air Riders as well, I should play more of its online sometime. I might get Mario Tennis Fever as well - besides the story mode not being great, I did hear it's quite a bit better than Aces. Kind of want to wait for it to go on sale, though.
Yeah same here... I'm hoping I can finish Hollow Knight this year, I've been playing the heck out of it. I upgraded Hollow Knight to the Switch 2 edition, the upgrade did not cost a single penny, which is nice. Gotcha, I was more so talking about going on getaways or vacations, I've had long car trips to a seaside area we'd often go to during summertime. I do enjoy a nice trip to a local walking trail, too. They sure are, he's more wholesome than a lot of other people on YouTube.
Oh nice, I did play the demo before I got that game, and I enjoyed it. Been some time since I played it... I should change that sometime.
Oh that's cool, I do remember seeing that game's box art... it looks kind of weird, just like Mega Man 1's box art, lol. I'm not huge into fighting games because of their difficulty and lack of longevity for me, but I did think Soul Calibur II on GameCube was pretty decent. I played that on Nintendo Classics, and as a Nintendo fan, I had to pick Link, lol. That's cool you're playing Wario Land 3. Recently, I did start Mega Man III (Game Boy) on Nintendo Classics, as well.
Maybe a bad comparison on my end then, I was only focusing on the exploration aspect of the two. I do remember the Tikal scenes. It's been ages since I last played the Sonic Adventure games, though I still have my GameCube copies. The most recent time I played a Sonic game was Sonic Origins, I did play a few of its challenges.

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
It's snowing again, after most of the snow melted. Anyone else ever get in the mood to play classic games when it snows? I booted up SNES Nintendo Classics this evening because of the snow. Just curious, just me?
@D-Star92 That's what it should be about, enjoying games and playing them. It's cool when something does well, but it shouldn't be the only thing to obsess over to "stick it to the haters." That's just asking for trouble. Console wars are so silly.
Nice, hope you get to finish it. Oh ok, the closest I've had to being away from home was my trips to New York. They were great, especially Trolls x CAMP. Also the hockey game I went to at Madison Square Garden was cool. Indeed, I enjoy his videos and topics on gaming. His recent guilt video hit home, I usually like to game after I do my chores.
Same, I haven't touched Princess Peach Showtime in quite awhile because of other games I ended up playing on both Switch and PC.
Yup, it's the one that yells "HEY PUNK! ARE YOU TUFF E NUFF?" lol. Alrighty, I'm not the best at fighting games too, so I usually play them on easy or easiest. Will admit, I can pull off Kotono's moves in Tuff E Nuff. I think I might have tried Soul Caliber II at one point, maybe a demo of it. I keep forgetting the Game Boy Mega Man games are on Nintendo Classics. I'm rather surprised the NES ones aren't on the NES app.
Don't worry about it. It's been awhile since I've played a Sonic platformer. I think the last time I played one was Sonic Superstars or Sonic 1 on my phone while waiting somewhere. Last time I played any Sonic game was CrossWorlds on Switch.
@Sunsy Since it snowed for you, Merry Christmas! 🎄 It snowed for me as well. I don't quite get that feeling, but I'm sure you're not the only one. I basically just play whatever game(s) I'm currently focusing on. I did play Super Mario Galaxy 2 tonight, I'd consider that a classic.
Exactly. Console wars are so silly for sure, lol. This is coming from someone who likes Nintendo a lot more than PlayStation and Xbox. I just enjoy whatever games I like... no need to get into any pointless arguments.
Thanks! I hope so too. It's a tough game, but it's been making me come back for more. Nice, I've been to New York City as well, I love the Nintendo store they have over there. My last trip saw me fly over to another state to see my aunt, uncle, and cousins. Got to hang out at their place, and we also went to a railroad park where we got to ride the train. It was so much fun! 🚂 That's nice, I basically do the same thing. Once I'm done with my responsibilities I'd typically play games as a way to relax.
Gotcha, I'd like to come back to that game sometime... though I do remember the detective levels being hard for me.
I've done that with Street Fighter II on the SNES, I'd put the difficulty to like two stars, lol. Just because fighting games are so hard to play for me! I can do some special moves in that game, most notably the Hadoken that Ryu and Ken can do. I noticed that too... it might be because Mega Man Legacy Collection is a thing. The first volume has all six NES Mega Man games.
That's cool, I did see you've been playing CrossWorlds and enjoying it. I've been considering playing Sonic Mania again, just for fun. I have a save file where I got all the Chaos Emeralds, I like playing on it to play a favorite zone or two.

@Sunsy Ah yeah I forgot to comment on your trip to New York. I remember you went to that Trolls event and got to meet Poppy. I did visit Madison Square Garden for a little bit while visiting NYC, but didn't see any hockey games. My dad is a hockey fan as well. I remember he used to have NHL '94 for the SNES, too.

Last January or February I near 200 percent-ed (if that's what you call completing a story and most of side content,) a DS game perhaps some people have not heard of here before. The game's called Nostalgia. Has anyone here played it? It's an underrated game, and I would be delighted to read about anyone who has enjoyed it. If Nintendo ever includes a DS collection on NSO EX I would love for them to have Nostalgia as one of the playable games, just so others can find out about it and play it. In fact, I recommended the game to a friend of mines on a discord server. Here's what I had to say him about it actually:
"I would highly recommend you play the game. Though, I must admit, you're probably have too many games right now in your backlog, haha. But if you ever wanted to get your hands on it, it's decently affordable. If you're looking to buy just the cartridge, it'll likely be $30 online. But is a little more expensive if you're buying it with the box which will likely cost $50 for some weird reason. Nevertheless, though, I would love it if you played the game and gave thoughts on it brief written or not! It is a fantastic game with the best parts being the characters and feeling of exploration in the overworld that has all the makings of an exciting time - because of almost all the themes you can think of that would make an adventure like its soundtrack you can hear. Like how the title combines fantasy with the real world's fantasticalness, mystery and wonder in its lore and setting - it is already establishing a fascinating and thrilling world of its own before we even get to see how it's used to create narratives and journeying.
Navigating the overworld by ship also contributes to that feeling as well. You hold onto the A button to make the ship accelerate and the world reveals more and more of itself - more and more of the fog gets cleared in the distance, and because of that, there's this sense of discovery and going into new experiences, whether that be World Treasure to find, (side content where you track down unexplorable wonders of the world and read up on them,) the story to progress in with its meaningful and heroic characters, the dungeons and cities to explore with its environments, and again, real-life fantasticalness and lore.
Even the World Treasure, which require you to search for in game based on hints given from NPCs, and you can learn about after finding them, contribute to what I'm attempting to describe.
The airship battles too where the party members pilot different weapons on it, thus playing like turn traditionally based battles, where you can attack enemies located at different angles of the sailing ship, and certain weapons do more damage depending where they are being fired or charged from. They kind of simulate real airship battles.
The characters are a little better written than what you would normally expect from an average Nintendo game (this is not made or published by Nintendo in case you weren't aware). They have really likeable storylines and personalities.
Overall, Nostalgia is a game I'm glad I got to play all the way through. 🙂 I'm thankful I got to learn all about it and recognize it as a note worthy and beloved title to me. Next thing I would like to do, aside from completing a couple of the side content I'm interested in completing, would be to own a strategy guide showcasing the game's artwork and creative ideas. I know I haven't played a lot of RPGs other Pokémon in my life time, but I would like to use it as another example of a game I love, look up to, and show to others why I like adventure games and the potential I see in them."

Coulda sworn I commented earlier.. (Take 2 because I got signed out the first time.)
My birthday itself was decent, but the weekend of was genuinely ***** in some areas. Enough to genuinely deserve an explative in case anyone is wondering my choice of words.
I'm mostly recovered now, gonna find out soon if my OG switch is repairable.
Been playing Graces F. Peak game for JRPG fans, but my current run is more wrapping it up.
Btw, THANK YOU for letting me post something.

Way worse than it used to be.
@Mariotag hmm... I wonder what the issue is; I haven't had any problems. Are you using an unusual web browser or an ad blocker or something which wouldn't work well with the site?
@Duncanballs Next time then I'll only post comments for three threads very rarely. It would be annoying to do that all the time for posts I make.

@PeterTomlan86 no not at all. Anti Matter made a comment that you were repeating yourself and spamming. I just called him out on that as I said, because its what he does all of the time so he shouldnt criticise others.
@PeterTomlan86
I saw you posted exactly same long comment about your passion with NDS game Nostalgia on three different threads.
Nothing wrong with your comment but when I checked you posted them on three different threads, I was thinking why did you post them for three times?
I mean one time is enough on the right thread.
Oh, also I want to add.
I don't think Nintendo will add specific NDS games for their NSO Subscription as a lot of NDS games are licensed franchise games that will never get revived unless Nintendo want to.
March 3rd, 2026 is the also the 9th anniversary of the original Nintendo Switch.
I feel old thinking about it 🫠.
My top 5 favorite games:
1: Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1
2: Pokémon Violet
3: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
4: The Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening (2019)
5: Animal Crossing New Horizons
Mario Maker 2 Maker ID: MNH-8JB-PKG
Switch Username: Blanc
I don't know if people still play F-Zero 99, but there's an event going on called Meteor Sparks if anyone is interested. Nintendo Life didn't seem to report on it, so just want to let others know.
@D-Star92 Well, I did have my bedroom's Christmas lights on when it was snowing, lol. Alrighty, it's just something about being snowed in and playing classic games that feels rather nice to me.
Indeed, it just feels like the focus on Switch 2's success pushes towards that, rather than actually enjoying games. I like YouTube for gaming videos, but I do wish more would actually talk about games or interesting things in gaming.
You're welcome. Nice, I wish I could go to the Nintendo store. Probably wouldn't buy games or hardware there since they're sold everywhere, would totally buy a special Peach related thing from there that I can't get anywhere else. That sounds like a really nice trip. It's the best way to do it. It helps make game time feel more rewarding. I usually will play games once my responsibilities are done.
Indeed. Though I do like how cute Detective Peach looks, I'm still using her as my Switch icon.
I'm worse, I put the difficulty down to one-star, lol. There's some fighting games I can pull the moves off. I have no issue with the moves in Tuff E Nuff, then again, I like to stick to one fighter I'm good with when playing. Having Mortal Kombat II on PC is fun, special moves is literally typing quickly on a keyboard when playing with keyboard controls. Wait, when did they release a Mega Man collection? This is news to me.
I should pick up CrossWorlds again, now that they added new characters for free to it (Ai Ai, Tangle, and Whisper). It's been difficult to stop playing Nintendo Classics, been enjoying them a lot lately. Go for it, I always replay games for fun.
Yup, still my favorite trip I've been on, that whole place felt like I walked into the world of Trolls. Cool, what did you see at MSG? I've only been twice, once when I was a teen to see WWE Raw, and the hockey game to see the New York Rangers play. That's cool. I wish I had a hockey video game, then I'm reminded... I have Mario and Sonic Winter Olympics. Though I've been thinking about Casual Sport Series: Hockey on Switch. It's only $6, but looks like a fun pick up and play hockey game.

@Mariotag Happy belated birthday. Also if you run into bugs in on this site, you might want to tell @antdickens. He usually understands this site and works on it. If you're still having that login issue.
