@SM3DASislit I'm gonna throw you a little curve ball: there's actually also people (not me, mind you) that are/feel pressured by politeness. Think of it this way: they actually don't WANT to react, but the other person is SO polite or kind, that they'd feel bad if they wouldn't reply, and so they do it anyway, regardless of their own sentiments...

I'd give a penny for your thoughts right now...

@MarioLover92 You're welcome.

@Tyranexx I'll let you in on a little secret: I actually own all of the Star Fox games, although the first two only by means of the Nintendo mini consoles, because I never had a NES or SNES. The N64 was my very first game console, before that I was firmly lodged in the home computer camp. First with an MSX and after that with a number of Commodore Amigas.

I gather from your comment that you never played the N64 game, then? Well, you're in for a treat. The graphics may have dated relatively bad (although the 3DS version actually looks nice and clean in comparison with the N64 original), but the solid gameplay is still there, and it's there in spades.

Concerning Federation Force: for me, it was just that it was on my list anyway, and for such a low price,
I figured I might as well add it to the shopping list, also because it might not be available anymore at a later point in time. So, not so much because it had priority over other games or because I wanted to play it, but simply because of the aforementioned reasons.

@ThanosReXXX I had some limited NES and SNES access back in the day through relatives, but most of the games they owned/I played at the time were platformers. Mostly featuring a certain princess-saving plumber. I missed out on the N64 and GameCube entirely outside of store demos and the odd remake for newer platforms. The Virtual Console has been a godsend for catching up on some of the greats that I never touched before. For various reasons, I only had Nintendo handhelds from the GBC on up until a Wii was purchased for the whole family when I was in high school.

Anyway, I've decided to give Star Fox 64 3D a shot; if any Star Fox game can convince me, I think it'll be that one. Though I think the Star Fox Adventures spin-off would fit my gaming tastes more. It's a shame most GCN games I'm interested in are expensive.

If anything, I at least get to experience "Do a barrel roll!" as nature intended. XD

Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet - The Indigo Disk, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)

@Tyranexx Well, if you're still looking for/interested in Star Fox Adventures, then prices really aren't that bad. Obviously, you will have to settle for the used games section, because getting a new copy is either as good as impossible, or astronomically priced.

Here are some options:

EDIT:

While searching for those buying options, I came across this old NLife article:

It's an entertaining read.

@ThanosReXXX My two cents on your former point, I'm extremely polite. This is either because I'm being subconsciously pressured to be polite, or because I've been like that my whole life. It's probably a 20-80 of both.

@ThanosReXXX For me I feel like I need to be nice to the person unless they are binge rude, for example I will see a comment, and I have my toughts that might differ form most people I don't say anything bc I don't want to be flamed for it but I think this is off topic. But I think i'm kinda subconsciously pressured to be polite like what theJGG said.

@theJGG @Snatcher By throwing @SM3DASislit a curve ball, I was just pulling his leg, obviously. (or maybe not so obvious, so hereby... )

Either way, on a more serious note, it can be true that people can feel pressured to be polite. Although I myself am a highly social and empathic person, I'm also quite proud and stubborn, and even though over the years, I've learned to moderate myself regarding my lesser qualities, I've kind of created this shield of not caring when it gets to a point where I need to adapt myself too much to others.

You see, doing that makes you not being you anymore, so in my case, it's simply accept me as I am or not. No middle ground. I am who I am, and that's perfectly fine. Don't like it? Bye....

Same goes for giving respect: with me, you gotta earn it. The only ones I respect by default, are my elders and other people who actually achieved something great, or people who survived or fought in wars. And for the right reasons, so actually scratch that and correct/replace it with people who fought in WW2. That was the last "good" fight, far as any war can be called good...

But, having said all that, it doesn't mean I'm unnecessarily rude or harsh or anything, I'm just a heart on my sleeve kinda guy, so I'm pretty direct and candid, speaking my mind in most cases. I think that besides my natural self, being in sales & marketing has also helped evolve this current version of me.

So, in short: if being overly polite is truly who you are, then fine. If it's an unnatural version of you who's bending and twisting his own natural self to accommodate others, stop doing it, because in the end, it's going to cost you, and we only have one life to live, far as we know, so better not lose yourself to what others think, feel or want too much...

@MarioLover92 It's been awhile since I've played Klonoa 2, from what I played with the GBA version on Wii U, I was enjoying it.

That's cool. Never had Mario Advance 4, this is coming from someone who has an e-Reader because of Animal Crossing (still have all my cards in sleeves too). The one Mario Advance game I have on Wii U is Yoshi's Island, the third game IIRC.

@ThanosReXXX That's what I usually do, usually on PC since it's the only place I can see 60FPS YouTube videos properly for the comparison.

@SM3DASislit Yeah, ever since seeing it in that direct mini last year, it caught my attention and kept an eye on it. When the beta happened (the beta version was called Exclusive Ninja Club), I tried it out, and got lucky to get into one game as everyone crashed the servers. That is one of the points of a beta to make sure things work out and to see if improvements are needed, server crashes included.

If you enjoy the game, try and give the anime a watch. I've been enjoying them a lot, especially the character backstories.

@ThanosReXXX some solid intelligent advice there. I always tried to please others and it got me nowhere in the end and they just walked all over me and took me for granted as a result. I have been around long enough now and been through enough hardship to just be myself and not care at all what anybody thinks of me. It's very liberating reaching that point in your life and evolving your intelligence above and beyond your immature self. Some never make it for the world can be harsh and can box you in so you can not rise. But that is the social conditioning of society, right? Fit in, smile, be nice=being normal.
PS: It's a shame they didn't have a season 2 for the Silver Surfer animated series, I know it was planned but something happened because of bankruptcy or something along those lines but would of loved more of that. It wasn't cheap to get a copy of the first season but totally a worthy purchase..

It's my birthday! If only Super Mario 3D World would come out on Switch today, lol. But some new screenshots are cool too.

@Sunsy That's good, I may give it a shot one day. I used to have the e-Reader as a kid too, including the SMA4 cards that came out in the US. Funny story, when I first got the e-Reader I tried to scan all the Donkey Kong Jr. cards, but it turns out that I overlooked half of the bar codes - I thought they only came on the bottom of the cards, lol. I have all the SMA games as they originally came out, in cart form, so I had them since I was young.
