Because of lockdown, catching a cold (a regular one, so the corona test told me) and 'trouble in paradise' kind of stuff, I've had quite a lot of free time on my hands these past couple of days. I've been tweaking the home audio/video/gaming setup. If anyone's interested: here's the report. I started a new playthrough of Super Mario Odyssey, just to tweak all the video and audio settings. Turns out I was kinda ready for a new playthrough, since now I'm hooked again! I almost forgot how awesome this game is, I think mainly because the post-game moon hunting felt like a chore. The main game is a blast though.
@MarioLover92 Happy Birthday! The old copy of Donkey Kong Jr that came with it, I also got the cards for Excitebike, Ice Climber, and Pinball. Yeah the reader strips were on the sides on most of the cards I had. I think the Pokemon ones had the strips on the bottom of the cards too, I remember having two of those.

@Sunsy I think I remember getting those cards as well. It's been like 2 decades ago so my memory is a little hazy. I remember getting a Game & Watch card as well, that was Manhole.
Thank you! Much appreciated.

@MarioLover92 You're welcome. Neat, while I never had the Game and Watch one, I remember getting the Air Hockey one from a game store. They pretty much gave them away IIRC, I think I may have got it around the time I picked up Sonic Advance 2.

@Tyranexx
Oh wow, that's really cool that the best job you've had is the one you're at right now.
Oh okay, thanks for letting me know. Now that you mention it, I might be confusing PowerBuilder with PowerShell.
@ThanosReXXX
Oh right, I actually forgot that some people feel that way, I'll make sure to keep that in mind. 🤔
Wait, you were messing with me? I'm really confused now. 🤔
@Sunsy
I found out about Ninjala the same way you did, I've also kept an eye out on it since then as well. What's interesting is that Ninjala was revealed at E3 2018, yet I somehow missed it then. I wasn't able to participate in the betas, but I heard that the first beta was unstable, and that the second was much better than the first beta, connection wise. 🤔
Okay, I'll try to do that at some point.
Please give Ninjala a chance, guys. 🤔

Also, if I don't respond to your post within a day (or two), don't worry, I'm not ignoring you. I'm going to be busy, though I will do my best to respond in a timely fashion.
@Sunsy Oh that's cool, don't think I got the Air Hockey one. Never was too big into sports, so that's probably why, lol.
@XxSupernova8xX Thanks! I think you're referring to how you add people to your Switch friend list? One way of doing that is to type in a friend code of who you wanna add. A lot of people on the Nintendo Life boards have their Switch friend codes on their signatures right under their posts.

@MarioLover92 - Thank you for your reply, I have seen people post their friend codes like you have there in your signature, I am just not sure how this works - do people add each other randomly?? If you add someone what do they have access to? Thanks

@Tyranexx I'm not the biggest theme park fan. But I do enjoy them every now and then. If you're gonna do a bucket list trip, you should go to the new Nintendo park in Japan. (Heck, just go visit Japan, it's awesome!)

@XxSupernova8xX One person adds someone's friend code, the other can choose to accept it or not. Once you're friends, you can play with each other in certain games, provided that they're available. You can see what games your friends have played too, if they make their game list visible. There is no messaging system on the Switch unfortunately, so I highly recommend using the Nintendo Life boards, Discord, Reddit, or others to find friends and to keep an open line of communication. (Example: I use the Animal Crossing: New Horizons thread on NL to keep in touch with my friends there.)
Yeah I've had some people add me at random. That kind of thing happens. Sometimes I would get a friend request from someone, but no one on the NL boards let me know about it.
@SM3DASislit Thank you! I had a good birthday. You're totally fine, I'm not mad at all!

@XxSupernova8xX I personally don't, I generally prefer having someone let me know once they've added me so I know who's who. If I recall correctly, one of my AC:NH friends had their island messed up, or something like that. That was a total stranger, so that taught me to be extra cautious. If you don't play AC:NH, it's not an issue, but IMO it's generally best to be friends with people you can get a hold of. But it's up to you at the end of the day.
If you catch your friends playing something like Mario Kart, you can join in at any time. I believe there's a game invite thing you could do, too, but that requires the NSO app.

@ThanosReXXX Those prices actually aren't too bad! Now I'd just need a console to play them on...and more reasonably priced used games lol. The GCN games I have searched previously tend to trend around or above $100 USD. Which is why I REALLY wish Nintendo would get more on top of presenting their back catalogue to the masses....
I'll give that article a read; I think I've ran across it before in some form and know about the Dinosaur Planet connection, but I don't believe I've actually read it. Bookmarked for later reading!
@PokemonGirl99 "Helping" you, yes. Though you do the vast majority of the battling on your own.
As for the post-game: If you follow this link, it'll take you to a general rundown of what you can do. Some of it is a carryover from the original Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald games, but the rest is new. Some of the other Pokemon games have had more post-game content, but OR/AS arguably have more to them than some more recent series entries.
@SM3DASislit PowerShell is basically my command prompt replacement; I use it every now and again to interact with Git on personal projects. IIRC it's part of the .NET Framework, so most if not all Windows machines should have it.
Also, an observation: The way you respond to posts brings a smile to my face; your way of formatting text is somewhat similar to how my sister phrases her responses.
@Eel Congrats on the Shiny Mareep! I've been looking for one for ages. Though I might've had some luck today if I'd actually remembered the incense event was running....
@Heavyarms55 I love theme parks. I'm a huge roller coaster nut and can handle most rides well minus the ones that spin with a ton of force (like a Tilt-A-Whirl); I don't get sick, but it causes a ton of dizziness and pressure, the latter of which builds in my head and usually evolves into a headache. Hello ruined day if that happens lol. The pure joy I get from riding rides often makes up for the prices and at times insane wait times, though I do try to pick days/seasons that are less busy if possible.
I would love to visit Japan! Including the cool as heck Super Nintendo World. I think some people found that Direct meh, but I personally enjoyed it! I would be like a ten-year-old stuck in an adult body there, no question. XD
@SM3DASislit I remember all the tests crashed the servers as many wanted to play. It's all part of the beta testing experience I suppose. When the game launched, I didn't run into too many connection problems, so that feedback helped the team improve server stability from the looks of it. Thankfully, I did get one game in and enjoyed what I played when trying Ninjala.
@MarioLover92 Yeah, if I remember, the game store gave it away for free so I took one. Reminded me of Pong more than the sport of hockey.
