@Sunsy Oh gotcha. Never bought music from iTunes, I've always got them on CD and transferred the songs to my computer/phone. I even went ahead and transferred songs from my dad's music CDs - he's a huge music buff. Yeah I heard the Sonic Advance games came out on the Wii U VC, but only in Japan. That's kinda odd, especially since stuff like the Castlevania games and the Mega Man Battle Network series are on the VC right here.
Thanks! Yeah I liked the minigames too. Bomb Rally was indeed good fun, that was probably my favorite one.

All videos found on there are also viewable on their regular YouTube channel, or in the articles on EuroGamer, but those are all the earlier mentioned compressed versions. On the page above, you can download all the full-fat versions, aka the original versions of these videos. In 1080p, the difference isn't that big, but in the 4K videos, it's literally of a different level altogether, quality-wise.
It's probably not for most of us, also because it's a paid members-only site, but there are those that value seeing footage of how a game ACTUALLY looks on their TV, instead of a watered down YouTube video...
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
@NintendoByNature Yeah. I know the feeling, I usually gravitate towards Wii remote or the pro controller option when available, just so I don't put so much wear and tear on the gamepad, saving the gamepad for games that need it. Hope you're enjoying the game otherwise.
@MarioLover92 Yeah, it was still neat they released something to celebrate the GBA games. Indeed, personally, I was very surprised at some of the GBA offerings the Wii U got, I ended up buying Klonoa 2 on it a few years back. Amuses me sometimes browsing the Wii U eShop.
Thinking of mini-games on Nightmare in Dreamland, I always liked how they did a remake of Samurai Kirby. First time playing Quick Draw, I got reminded of the mini-game from Kirby Super Star.
@Heavyarms55 Those screenshots would be cool to see if you still have them! Though if they're buried deep in digital storage, don't go to too much trouble on my account.
There are six gyms within reasonable walking distance in the downtown area, seven if you tenuously count one that's a bit of a trek. I'm told one of the main six hasn't had a raid on it since 2017, nor have I ever observed one; it's on the grounds of a church, and supposedly during the game's initial popularity surge, people and vehicles would be grouping up in the parking lot all the time. The other night, there were several lower tier raids and/or the remains of other T5s running, so those within range thought it better to start at one of the three main parks instead. The group moves fast, but I do try to participate on foot unless I want to hit a lot of raids during the evening. Typically I only do 2-4 raids during raid hour.
@Anti-Matter There's no harm in expanding your horizons and trying more games! I don't dislike games with shooter elements, like the Metroid Prime games for example, but I've never cared for games where it's the main focus. I'm not into Halo or Call of Duty at all. Even Splatoon, with its refreshing take on the genre, wouldn't hold my attention for long.
@crimsontadpolesLayton Brothers Mystery Room definitely sounds like my cup of tea! I like mysteries and have been intrigued by what I've read about the game so far, but flavor text vs. actual gameplay can be VERY different. XD
I'm glad to read from you that it's pretty decent, and that the first couple of cases are free! If I like it well enough, I'll likely buy the additional cases if the pricing is reasonable. Thanks for the feedback!
@PokemonGirl99 That's some pretty decent type coverage! And I fully support using Gible; it's one of my favorite Pokemon.
@SM3DASislit Not many people have heard of it. Some of PB's design is archaic in some aspects, but the datawindow is still a very powerful tool. Think C#'s WinForms, but (in my opinion) more flexible.
The company that bought it up previously was SAP; they really only wanted it for the database structure; they didn't care about anything else really.
On my job: As hectic as weeks like this one have been sometimes, I really enjoy it. I have an excellent team of people in my division to work with, plus the environment is somewhat casual. My previous job required business casual wear at least. I still have to watch what shirts I wear, but Jeans are permitted.
@ThanosReXXX I remember being intrigued by Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. when it was first revealed, but I just never did get it. Other games took priority. XD Some of the middle of the road reviews gave me pause as well. But if I can find it cheap, I'll certainly consider it!
On Federation Force: Internet hate aside, I dove in and read some of the reviews. I by no means think it's a bad game, but I'm not sure if it's for me. The fact that it's multiplayer focused gave me pause; I was bitten hard by Tri Force Heroes, where single player was clearly an afterthought. I was concerned the difficulty in single player would kick the game from "Challenging" to "ARE YOU [CENSORED] KIDDING ME?!?!" levels on the Tyranexx Game Tolerance Scale™. I finished TFH and reached the credits, but I ALMOST put it down. Add in the fact that it and its older DS cousin, Metroid Prime Hunters, seem more shooter-focused, and hence my current fence position. As mentioned to Anti, I don't dislike games with shooter elements as long as it isn't the main focus, but I've disliked the few FPS games I've tried.
But I do take what the internet "says" about many games with a load of salt unless the consensus is pretty unanimous; I have played and beaten Metroid: Other M. Some of the complaints are valid, but overblown. There's still a decent game to be found with a few rough edges.
@Heavyarms55 Haha, I'm sure areas of many major cities dwarf what I'm used to in comparison! I started playing in early 2019; my family went to the Carolinas later that year for vacation. We did a bus tour of downtown Charleston, SC at one point. There were so many stops and gyms! I was in heaven lol. Though in hindsight I do feel bad about missing some of the tour info during all that multitasking; I listened the best I could, but the "Pòkenerd" part of my brain won out over "History Fan" that day.
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet - The Indigo Disk, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
@Tyranexx Lol that's great. I know the feeling. I did that in Sedona, AZ. But it's kind of why I liked travelling alone pre-pandemic. When I travel alone on my own plans and schedule, I don't have to worry about missing stuff. XD

@Sunsy for sure. I just grabbed a classic controller off Amazon so we'll use that and the pro or a wii remote which isn't that great to use imo. Just to preserve the gamepad
@Sunsy Oh yeah I've heard of Klonoa. I've been wanting to get a hold of the first one on the PS1, but copies of it are insanely expensive. Is Klonoa 2 any good?
I did get a couple GBA games on VC that I originally missed out on, namely Advance Wars and Metroid: Zero Mission. (In the latter case, my bro had it, later on I wanted to give it a shot, but couldn't find it. Guess he lost the cart long ago.) I got Super Mario Advance 4 as well, despite having the cart for it. I bought it for the e-Reader levels alone.

@Sunsy Well, cool... it's pretty nifty, but it's not like they're doing it out of the kindness of their hearts, so you'd probably have to be REALLY invested/interested in Digital Foundry's videos to decide to pay 5 bucks a month for them. I'll just watch the free YouTube videos instead.
@Tyranexx I wouldn't say that Federation Force is a shooter. Yes, the multiplayer part is a hefty chunk of the game, but from what I've read, there's also a considerable amount of single player content, so for the amount of money that I paid for it, I think it's well worth it. But obviously, you should decide for yourself. If you're not feeling it, then no amount of discount will ever be enough, probably.
@MarioLover92 If I may add my two cents: the Klonoa games are some of the best platformers out there, so I can quite easily recommend them to you.
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
@Anti-Matter
That’s cool that you still follow Ninjala news, even if you’re not into Ninjala itself.
Haha, that’s a good comparison, and I totally get where you’re coming from.
I’m the opposite, I like Ninjala more than ARMS, but I still like ARMS though. I remember you really liking ARMS from various posts you’ve made over time. Your passion for ARMS is something I wish that (at least) one person had for Ninjala on Nintendo Life. ARMS is pretty fun.
You know, something I find interesting, is even though ARMS has about half the fanbase of Ninjala, I would say that the ARMS fanbase is way definitely more loyal to ARMS than the Ninjala fanbase is to Ninjala, therefore the ARMS fanbase feels bigger than the Ninjala fanbase (I hope I’m making, at least, some sense). 🤔
Wait, you drew that?! 🤔🤯 Wow, that’s really good.
I initially thought one of the ARMS artists drew that, it was that good. If Nintendo ever did ARMS 2, they should hire you as one of the ARMS artists. 🤔
Also, the Eurobeat song in Team Sonic Racing works perfectly.
@ThanosReXXX
Okay, that's good. Thanks, I appreciate you saying that. It's just (part of) how I've been raised. That's why I put "If you don't mind me asking", in most of the questions I ask, because I know that people have different levels of what they feel comfortable sharing, and also so people don't feel "pressured" to answer the question I asked them, if they don't feel comfortable sharing their answer.
The fact that you even have to say that is pretty sad, but true. 😔
Anyways, I get how the similarities would be off-putting, but oddly enough, that's what made me more interested in Ninjala, to begin with. Also, thanks for letting me know.
Okay, that makes sense. It honestly just comes down to the different tastes we all have. Some of us prefer more single-player based games, some prefer more multiplayer based games, and some people like a mix of both.
@Sunsy
Okay, thanks for letting me know. Awesome, I somehow didn't realize that you've been playing since before day one. Oh okay, that makes sense.
I do appreciate that they're only 10-15 minutes, I thought they were going to be 30-40 minutes each initially, for some reason. I think it's just when I finish with whatever I'm doing, and have free time, I tend to just play Ninjala (or other games).
@Tyranexx
The only reason (I can think of) that I know what it is, is because I think it's one of the "random" programs that's pre-installed on PCs.
I looked it up after you mentioned the companies buyout history was got kind of confused. Oh, so SAP was the one who was the one that let it "rot", yikes. I'm just glad that the current owners are fixing it up.
All jobs have hectic parts (and weeks) in them, unfortunately, but at least you have a good team of people to work with. The formality of clothes does definitely depend on the job you have. That's good that you really like your job.
Please give Ninjala a chance, guys. 🤔
As @Sunsy said,
Ninjala Gang FOR LIFE!
Also, if I don't respond to your post within a day (or two), don't worry, I'm not ignoring you. I'm going to be busy, though I will do my best to respond in a timely fashion.
@Heavyarms55 I do plan on doing some alone travel once pandemic-related things level out a bit. I postponed a short spring trip last year for this year (still need to finalize planning for that) and am seriously considering hitting a bucket list theme park this summer or fall. I want to do stuff like that before I get too old to enjoy rides lol.
@PokemonGirl99 Yes, basically. It's the opposite case in Alpha Sapphire with a few other changes. I much prefer how the original Pokemon Emerald handled it; you fight both teams there in their own hideouts, and parts of the game's story changed.
Edit: And yeah, they technically aren't villains in the traditional sense. They're more eco-terrorists that go way too far in the grand scheme of things.
@ThanosReXXX I'll seriously consider getting the game if I can find it cheap. Though it definitely isn't top priority compared to other titles. Honestly, I'd rather grab Star Fox 64 3D first, if only to try that since it's the "best" Star Fox game. I tried the first two SNES games on the SNES Classic and liked them overall, but they weren't really my type of game and haven't aged the best. And the less said about the controls in the Star Fox Zero demo, the better. XD
@SM3DASislit As far as jobs go, it's the best one I've had so far. As for PowerBuilder, you have to install the actual program via Appeon's website these days.
@MarioLover92 Happy birthday tomorrow! Play plenty of Mario! I noticed you mention it in the weekly WAYPTW article. ^_^
