Remember that Chicken Wiggle Switch Kickstarter we mentioned not so long ago? Well it's live, baby - and comes complete with a target goal of just over £20,000 ($30,000).
Chicken Wiggle Workshop takes all of the lovely content seen in the 3DS version and gives it a welcome lick of HD paint. The "Workshop" part of the title has been added to emphasise the fact that the game ships with a level creation tool - something which has allowed 3DS players to cook up loads of challenging stages, all of which will be accessible on Switch. Oh, and you'll be able to toggle between classic and HD visuals at any point, too.
The campaign currently sits at just under £6,000 ($8,000) from a little over 370 backers. It has 29 days remaining to hit its funding target.
Will you be laying down some sweet, sweet cash to support this venture, or have you already had your fill on the 3DS version? Spit some feathers in the comment section to tell us.

This is delightful news!
There was an article about this here last week and I was critical of the idea because there were no details of the campaign yet and I thought it was going to be just another straight port over to the Switch. However that is clearly not the case. I dug this game on 3ds and I am now looking forward to playing the complete remake on my Switch.
With the brand new art style and Grant Kirkhope doing the music this game will be well worth buying again. I also like how we will be able to "switch" between the original pixel art and the new hand drawn art style. That was a cool feature of Wonder Boy and I'm happy to see it also being used here.
The early-bird tier that's only $10 for a digital copy of the game is a steal. This is the first Kickstarter I have ever supported and I think I picked a winner. Now we just need to get it to 30k before April 5th.
"Birds of a Feather" is a terrible comedy. I hope this does alright, Jools makes good games and he deserves some success.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE I see "Birds of a Feather" and my first thought is of the Phish song.
Put $70 towards it. Want to see Jools succeed with this gem.
It looks really nice! It has a really good pace too, as they've almost hit one third in just a few hours.
It sounds like there is even cross-compatibility between the platforms (at least one way, 3DS to Switch) for the level editor, which is really cool!
@TheLobster
Yeah. I stopped making levels because nobody was playing them...so this will be great.
One to keep an eye on, this sure seemed like a title that came out too late on the 3DS, but would have a good shot on the Switch.
Tempted to give them $10.
Wasn’t interested at all until I heard Grant Kirkhope was doing the music. Worth it just for that
I backed it. Jools is a FB friend of mine, and his games always impress me since the DS days. I never got this game the first time around, but I want the Switch version to succeed.
I backed it as well.
The HD makeover with instant toggling to pixel art was what sealed the deal.
Without the physical copy, I’m out... sadly.
I'd very much like to help Jools out with this!
Even if I like the pixel graphics better than the vector look.
Need to change that name, no way did that not play a part in hurting sales on 3DS. New graphics look awful, as much as I appreciate the attempt at doing something not pixely (doesn't kill a sale for me since I can switch back). This dude is weird, he makes really good and really bad decisions at the same time. I mean, man that new art style looks horrible, like a flash game from the mid 00's. Grant Kirkhop is amazing tho. The gameplay looks as great as ever, but sticking with such a lackluster and non descriptive game name and lead character is a really bad idea. I pledged my $10, but jesus those new graphics actually upset my stomach.
Just backed.
There are far too many nightmare stories about kickstarter. I don't ever buy into that. If the game comes out, and gets good reviews, I will consider it then. Never played the 3DS version and my 3DS has been collecting dust since the Switch launched.
only $10
wHaT cOuLd gO wRoNg?
It just hit 10k! Only took 9 hours to get 1/3 of the way to the goal!
Being new to backing a Kickstarter, I'm getting a kick out of watching this campaign. It's kinda like betting football, if it doesn't hit the over it's a push but if it hits we collect the winnings.
I hope this gets a second chance on Switch, it sounds like it deserves it.
Switch is where this game belongs. I’ll gladly help it, especially since Jools has faithfully delivered before. Just purchased Mutant Mudds on Switch too. I’d love to see Dementium and Moon on here too. It would be a nice change up from Doom.
Backed at the "Early Bird" $10 tier. I really want the digital soundtrack, and digital art book, but at $40, I decided to just go with $10. Funny how this releases in December, the month of my 35th birthday, lol.
Sounds good. I hope this finds more success on the Switch!
@crackafreeze #MeToo
I should play the 3DS version again sometime. Maybe worth a double dip if the price is right
I would really like this to succeed. Chicken Wiggle looks like a game I'd enjoy, but I hardly play my 3DS anymore (rather play on the Switch's bigger screen).
@MasterWario What's a 3DS?
My 3DS: /sits in the corner and weeps, neglectedly/
@Pichuka97 The release price is going to be the same as the 3DS at $15. On the Kickstarter, they're offering to give a download code to people who pay $10 for it (assuming the goal is met).
@Andrew5678 Then count me in. Silly how I missed the kickstarter message
Backed.
Wish him the best, and still believe the name is costing him a ton of sales.
I'm not sure I like the new art style, but appreciate the effort.
... And my 3ds has been in steady use after sitting for months. I picked up Lady Layton, Mario Maker, and Rhythm Heaven, and am really enjoying them all. I'm planning to get Metroid later this month. I've definitely resurrected 3ds to play a few things I'd missed, and it's been a lot of fun. The discount on Rhythm Heaven is the only decent thing I've gotten from using my gold coins at my Nintendo.
Well this is a game that could definitely have a place on my SD card. Count me in!
30 hours into the campaign and it has hit 50%. Things are slowing down a bit but that's to be expected. The beginning and end of any campaign is when it gets the most traffic. I am cautiously confident it will make its goal.
"Wasn’t interested at all until I heard Grant Kirkhope was doing the music. Worth it just for that"
Of course, Banjo Kazooie sound, a second character in a bagpack, I see what they did there!
