The Media Create results are out in Japan, and this week is relatively low key overall, with a new SEGA RPG on 3DS arriving as the most successful newcomer.

7th Dragon III Code: VFD jumps up to number one spot in the software top 20, with Yo-Kai Watch Busters holding onto second place. In a chart dominated by long-established titles Super Mario Maker and Splatoon can still be found in the top five for Wii U, with a smattering of other evergreen releases on Nintendo hardware lower down the list. The results are below with lifetime sales included.

1. [3DS] 7th Dragon III Code: VFD - 72,477 / NEW

Moving onto hardware we still have the PS4 holding top spot, remaining in the lead following a relatively recent price drop. Nevertheless the 3DS family is still doing well, while the Wii U maintains momentum in five figures; results are below with last week's sales in brackets.

2. New 3DS LL - 17,881 (17,856)

6. PS3 - 2,105 (1,929)
7. 3DS - 1,232 (1,131)
8. PS Vita TV - 696 (670)

Next week will include sales for The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, and there's a reasonable bet that its focus on multiplayer - particularly of the local kind - could be well received in Japan. We'll know soon enough.
