Nintendo's Italian office has confirmed that Animal Crossing New 3DS cover plates will be coming to Europe on October 2nd - the same day that Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer hits the console.
Three plates will be available, one showing Isabelle, the other portraying K.K. Slider and the third showing a whole host of characters from the popular series.
Animal Crossing is having something of a bumper year in 2015, with the series also coming to the Wii U in the form of Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival.
Check out our impressions of Happy Home Designer here.

Can't wait to not get them in NA!
So jealous...
Isabelle is to cute for words. Gimme.
Why don't Americans get cover plates? Do they think we are too stupid to properly install them?
@Yrreiht I can't believe they didn't announce the standard model is coming to North America at E3. If they miss this holiday season then I guess it'll never come here.
Question for the NL crew.
Why doesn't yesterday's UK only SMM bundles title give the region, leading us NA folk wondering, but these face plates, which NA obviously isn't getting, say Europe?
Is it an author preference for listing the region in the title? I know region matters for NA, you listed it for the Paulentena Amazon amiibo.
cool
but i cannot change my cover plate because my blue cover plates is on my new 3ds and that cover plates screw is broken so i might not get anymore cover plates until i get my new 3ds blue cover plates screw repaired or get a new "new" 3ds (see what i did there)
They look lovely. Isabelle is adorable but the K.K. Slider one is cool.
I like the one with all the AC faces. . .too bad I can't get a regular N3DS here in NA.
I'm still baffled by how much they're pushing Isabelle. She's just been in the one game, and she's the kind of saccharine cute like the alpacas at ReTail that feels a bit much for the series.
That one with all the faces is fantastic! Quite tempted by that
@Vineleaf she's far from my favourite character too though I've nothing against her but fans do seem to have latched on to her. I think Nintendo is just responding accordingly rather than pushing. Everyone loves KK but he doesn't feel so much a character as an event, and Tom Nook is the guy you love to hate but secretly love so not a great poster child. All the others are great in their own way but far less a big deal. Even ol' Tortimer and Kapp'n.
YES I almost bought that KK Slider one from Japan for way too much money. Glad I can buy that one and Isabelle.
Yet more money slipping through Nintendo USA's fingers.
I got the Isabelle one when the New 3DS launched in Australia. Didn't realise it wasn't even released in Europe yet.
Wonder if we'll get the other two, I'd assume so. The K.K. one is kinda tempting.
Aww those are so cute! What a shame they aren't coming to the US. Is AC bigger over there or something?
@Captain_Gonru - I thought ACaF was killing you, why are you following the cards? I was going to chide you for buying the game, but since it's free I can't.
I'm playing M&L: Superstar Saga from the Gameboy (or someplace). I'm only an hour in but it's really funny so far, might be my new zen as long as it doens't get too hard. I found the code written down on a piece of scrap paper while I was cleaning off my desk, must have been from Club Nintendo. Gampeboy games hold up even on a 52" screen. And I can even play it on the Gamepad, which is nice.
Well, as usual... everything is going to Eu or jp and we, NA, are left with just this too big New XL and unchangeable cover plate.
Wish i can read Japanese.
;_; flippin NOA
@raccoonboy Are you kidding me? Europeans still don't know, if they will get "Story of Seasons", "Return to PopoloCrois: A Story of Seasons", "Zero Escape 3" or "The Legend of Legacy" at all. For some games like Rune Factory 4 or Shin Megami Tensei 4 we had to wait over a year longer than you and didn't even receive a physical release.
@Aromaiden I imported the Isabelle one from Japan. A cute cover plate it is. My brother keeps saying I can't use it, because I'm not a big fan of Animal Crossing, and not played the 3DS version she appears in.
At least Europe are finally getting them. That one with the animal faces on is cool.
