Top 20 DSiWare Games in USA (25th June)

Posted by Corbie Dillard

It's Thursday and time for our DSiWare Top 20!

It's time to take a look at the most popular DSiWare titles available on the DSi Shop. If you're feeling adventurous you can even take a look for yourself by simply logging on to the DSi Shop, heading into the DSiWare section and then viewing by "Popular Games". It's that easy!

We compile this list using the USA region DSi Shop, so if you live elsewhere your list will probably be quite a bit different. Please feel free to post your region's findings below as always.

Keep in mind that the list below is based on the total number of downloads made recently, not an overall total of downloads since the game's original release.

Here is the list for the 25th of June:

1 (1) - Nintendo DSi Browser
2 (2) - Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again
3 (3) - Paper Airplane Chase
4 (13) - Mario Clock
5 (5) - Bird & Beans
6 (4) - WarioWare: Snapped!
7 (17) - Mario Calculator
8 (6) - Dr. Mario Express
9 (7) - Photo Clock
10 (8) - American Popstar: Road to Celebrity
11 (12) - Master of Illusion Express: Deep Psyche
12 (N) - Art Style: BOXLIFE
13 (9) - Mighty Flip Champs
14 (11) - Real Soccer 2009
15 (10) - Art Style: PICTOBITS
16 (15) - Clubhouse Games Express: Card Classics
17 (14) - Master of Illusion Express: Funny Face
18 (19) - Brain Age Express: Math
19 (20) - Mixed Messages
20 (18) - Master of Illusion Express: Shuffle Games

* (N) - Denotes a brand new entry in the Top 20
* (-) - Denotes a game that was not on the Top 20 last week

While we know that something will eventually knock the Nintendo DSi Browser down a notch or two, for the time being, it's sitting solidly at the #1 spot. We did see both of the Mario applications make fairly significant jumps up the Top 20 and Art Style: BOXLIFE made an impressive debut at #12, despite only being available for a couple of days so far.

The big climber this week was Mario Calculator, which rocketed up ten spots to #7 on the chart. The big dropper was Art Style: PICTOBITS, which fell five spots to #15.

This week there were a lot of little changes here and there, but we are seeing Mighty Flip Champs continue to move down the Top 20, a sad sight indeed considering what a great DSiWare title it is. I guess you just can't beat a good clock or calculator, can you?

Wait... Why's there a DS Lite up there? And isn't this updated on Wednesday? Boo! DSiWare users suck! Nintendo shouldn't of marketed this on DSiWare! Now they can sell crap to idiots!

Nintendo must be foolish to believe they can entertain people with apps the DSi already has. (I'm pretty sure you can use an online calculator on the browser, the only app worth getting that it doesn't already have.)

Come back zinc...I mean Mighty Flip champs.

They take a few weeks to develop over a lunch break and the chart positions show that someone is buying them. The development costs of ¥0 are instantly recouped, resulting in profit which happens to be Nintendo's favourite thing.

they have a DS lite because it had a browser and that was actually kinda what its front cover looked like

Never! Because when there is a good free product a commercial product will never have more downloads.

@ 10. MaFaJo

Well, maybe they should get a DSi picture.

A commercial title will beat out the DSi Browser at some point. You can bet on it.

I love the Mario apps, maybe its just me, but I like having a calculator on my dsi and why not a Mario themed one? I also like the mini game on Mario Clock, and the alarm sounds. I think that people forget how much of an icon Mario is...

True that mario is badass! and the symbol of nintendo, but the only thing i know that will beat the dsi browser even include a new picture (maybe). the item is FREE, has FREE Updates, and is just as good as youtube. anyone have a guess??? It's name is lame in american, but i can guarantee that it is better than any (sorry for saying this) lame mediocre apps that you can get at any 98 cents store, however, make a guess of the obvious dsiware app that im waiting for that will pawn all who owns it. lol, jk. this is just my opinion though, so do not hate...

The reason why Mighty Flip Champs is not on there is because every one
bought it already.

Browser will go to number 2 when flipnote studio takes its place. the water in the free lake will naturally flow into the new free opening. (Terrible metaphor, wasnt it?)

GabeGreens knows that flipnote studio will knock it out on to dsi web browser too. Anime is Awsome when yourself gets random, lol!
