I notice alot of people regret downloading Lost Winds. I have only bought one WiiWare game so far and was considering Lost Winds as my second WiiWare... I know its short, but... Now I am having doubts about buying it.

I would recommended it. It's fun to play through once or twice, especially with a friend but not necessarily. Yes, it's short, but that is the only problem with it. What few hours of game there is, all of it is fun.

Come on, friends,
To the bear arcades again.

I love the game. Lost Winds has charm, calming music and sound, a delightfully cartoony-mythical story and excellent controls and fun game play. Yes, it can be on the short side but what everyone is saying about a lack of replayability is completely subjective.

I'm playing through the second time now and I enjoy it just as much as the first time. It has a castleoid feel to it too, so if you like those sorts of games, then pick it up!

Regrets:
Orbient: I do not enjoy it, though I can see how some people do.

Bomberman Blast: For some reason I've been trying to rediscover my love of Bomberman for the past decade or so. I player Super Bomberman on the SNES and rented a multi-tap just to play the thing with my brother and neighbours and it was a fantastic time for all. I bought Bomberman 64 on this premiss and I enjoyed it but it wasn't quite as good. Then I bought Bomberman 93 in the VC and I found I had no one to play with. This game was my last bastion of hope. I bought it and played it for 2 hours. Its been sitting on my SD card ever since.

Loves: Helix, My Life as a King, Lost Winds, Mega Man 9, Onslaught, Wild West Guns and World of Goo.

Anyone buy LIT yet?

Maboshi's Arcade. IGN and WWW gave it a good review, but I think it's an overprized lousy game. It has no online leaderboard, only three puzzle games which are boring, and you have to reach a million points to even unlock anything (A background? How exciting .). Plus, it's way too hard.

Sandy Beach was a good idea, but with annoying music, bad controls, only two modes, no reward for winning Crab Battle, and the inability to post sand castles to the Wii Message Board, it isn't a good buy.

Lost Winds is great depending on your expectations. It feels like a tech demo or like something that should've been a monthly episodic game, especially considering the story, the ending, and only one boss battle. If you can get past the feeling of playing what seems like one big level to a more epic adventure, you should have a great time. plus if it lived up to it's full potential I'd gladly plop down 50 bucks for it, so $10 is a steal.

I enjoyed Lost Winds, but don't see the replay value. No regrets though and a briliant launch title for the service.

I also liked Ma Bo Shi -- the Ball is the only game I can play whilst eating lunch -- you can't beat that!

Defend Your Castle. Fun to play for one level from time to time, but after a while the novelty wears out

Yah I agree with wind on fire about DYC. Me and my friends were hoping for a better version of the internet one, but it was really not too better. The controls are good, but it wears out after you get so many units that you don't have to do anything, and the levels are really long later on. I think we are on 115 or something.

I bought Bomberman Blast primarily for the online play, which was a mistake because the online play is pretty bad. Playing it locally with 8 people is really a lot of fun, but the online is just terrible.

Does anyone regret getting Space Invaders Get Even? I was considering getting it with all the DLC but it can be a little expensive.

Maniac, "anyone bought Lit yet"? Of course! It's pretty darn good, though there is no replay value whatsoever, so it's hard to say whether it's worth the price tag. I've accumulated too many downloaded games on Wii that I played through once and tossed aside.

Gyrostarr. While it's not a terrible game, I wish I had spent the points on a shmup I would've enjoyed more, like Star Soldier R, or one of the many ones on VC, or really anything else. It's a decent way to kill time, but there's absolutely nothing special about it.

Yeah, definitely Maboshi. Only the rolling ball game is kinda fun, the other two suck ass. Also, was a bit disappointed in Lost Winds (not because it was short), Bomberman Blast (yes, the lag) and Tetris Party (I just don't like the style of it, at least not compared to the awesome Tetris DS). But they are still good games.

Plaettchen - I should have heeded the warnings. It is a great example of shoddy game design.
Tetris Party - Too effing generic. They could have at least bothered with a little more personality.
Pop - Talk about mind-numbingly boring! zzzzZZZZZ

Edit: I was really disappointed in Alien Crush Returns. It's not nearly as good as the original. It may look nice, but it's a bore.

No, certainly not! The DLC is counted as save game data, so you do kiss goodbye to 300+ blocks of internal flash, but it's all kinds of awesome so it's worth it!

Well at least now you can stor SIGE on a SD card.

I rule when it comes to games. So deal with it.

KnucklesSonic8

@Tails86: You hate Helix just because you need to actually work hard to play? Why does that scream of laziness. And last time I checked, the Balance Board wouldn't have gone well with the game mechanics. Totally different...

True, but not the DLC, so you're losing 350+ instead of 650+ blocks internal; if you've got a lot of games with big save files you're going to have to pretty much start moving everything to your SD card including the other non-game channels!

I kind of regret Target Toss Pro Bags because I really liked it when I played it in an arcade in Myrtle Beach, so I bought it and I liked it, but then I remembered I'm a social tragedy. Also, Secret Rings is awesome.
