Releasing the Super Mario Advance games for the Wii U is a bit silly. They already have NES and SNES versions.

Yeah, it will be interesting to see if they only release Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island which allows them to avoid the FX chip or if they will double dip and release the other Super Mario Advances.
To blessed to be stressed.

Metroid Fusion and Zelda Minish Cap are two of the confirmed GBA games being released on the Virtual Console that were part of the 3DS ambassador program. So much for Nintendo's "no plan" to sell those games on the Virtual Console.
Now all they need to do in release them on the 3DS Virtual Console. Come on Nintendo, handheld VC games belong on a handheld system!
They never said that they wouldn't release them on the VC they said not the 3 ds VC. Wii U is the loophole

Even then, didn't they just say there "weren't any plans to release more GBA games on the 3DS"?

Here's Japan's complete list of GBA VC titles coming in April:
April 3
Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World
Wario Ware Inc.
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror
Golden Sun
F-Zero: Maximum Velocity
Advance Wars 1 + 2
April 30
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap
Mario Tennis Advance
Wario Land 4
Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land
Metroid Fusion
That's a really good list, I hope all of these make their way to NA and Europe as well.. I don't see why they wouldn't. I don't really think we'll get them all in one month, either.
They have several years of Virtual Console support left ahead of them for these two platforms. If they released all their content as rapidly as the average Tom, Dick, and Harry around NintendoLife wishes they would, new 1st party additions to both platforms would already be finished.
Is this just something we tell ourselves when the entire VC releases for the week consist of NES Golf, Urban Champion or Clu Clu Land? What's the harm in just opening up the store and letting people browse through a large library of games? Then do promotions every now and then that relate to one theme or another. For some people Super Mario Kart, for example, might be the only VC game they'll get. So why not bank that sale when you can instead of assuming that the end user is constantly checking the store for updates?

that list makes me fell like thats all japan is getting in april period.
I don't see why they wouldn't dump that full list in one month worldwide. They realise there's not going to be a lot of big third-party titles so maybe they will start releasing a lot more VC content like people have been saying here in order to fill the gap, just highlighting one platform a month. Maybe we'll every month with a different platform in the spotlight. May could be N64 or DS - who knows?
I hope 3DS Ambassadors can get discounts on GBA games that are already on their 3DS.
But, you didn't buy those GBA games. Why should you get a discount for something you put no money into?
If they were to put the Ambassador games on the 3DS VC then it'd be reasonable to expect them not to charge to update them. A gift isn't worth much if the upgrade costs money. The other part of it is that it seems a bit archaic that purchases on the 3DS don't result in price drops on Wii U and visa versa. Which makes sense because if you have it on one the value of it on the second one does drop. If they want to make the sale then the price on the second should reflect that.
In that context the question is reasonable.
