Final Fantasy ended in part 10 in my books, when Sakaguchi and Uematsu left Square Enix. This may well be the true sequel to Final Fantasy which many of the fans have expected. This is the top game of my wanted list now, even topping the next Zelda. I really hope it doesn't dissapoint (gotta try to keep my feet on the ground and wait for the worst just in case)
Well, the artwork is amazing, the music is made by the Lord Himself, the game is made by the maker of those true Final Fantasy , I think we got true spiritual successor to FF X ?, that I wish...

I hope they don't screw us over in the west and shoe horn in Wii Speak support, effectively cutting the number of active online players in a lobby.

And I also hope they release it in Europe as well. It's probably a dead cert for NA, given its pedigree, but Europe often misses out on the odd blockbuster.

Nobuo Uematsu is composing the music! I have been excited for this from the first, but it just seems to get better and better. There better be a North American release. If not, I'm gonna start a riot. Yeah, that otta convince them to give us the game and stop this stupid court case on violent video gaming. Yeah.
Whoa, those characters look great. Especially that last screenshot shows their emotiveness and detail.
Anyone notice that "YUTA" and "TAKU" in the second screenshot have the same character portrait? Does that mean you'll be creating your own party members or something, or maybe they're twins/brothers in the story?
They're both playing Elza. The multiplayer is separate from the story, also everyone is Elza in the competitive screenshot.

Yep, it has online multiplayer Machu, both competitive and cooperative.
The characters do look fantastic, but the environments don't look as good. The textures are pretty muddy. Ah well, I don't really care as long as the game itself plays fantastically. :3

It could. But Gamespy said it's creator is looking to retire after this game. That's why he named it The "Last" Story.
That was a misquote, Sakaguchi said he's treating it as if it's his last game and putting his all into it and I doubt he'd retire if the game did gangbusters.

Yeah, the more I see of it the more I hope that it's really action-based and not turn-based. I think it will, though, given the cover mechanics and only being able to control one character at a time.
