Wait, your system memory is full.... solely from game saves??? I'll call Ripley's! You would probably need more games than exist for Wii to get to that point, no? If you're out of space because of downloaded games and channels, you are a bit late to the party!

I have them all on sd but thanks for treating me like a dumbass Some channels on my system it's like a desert without them... And btw... Call ripley's

Hey hey, I said IF. I made no assumptions, my canine friend. I removed all my games from the system to SD. All I have are the non-game channels (got all of them) and game saves on my Wii. I have a ton of space left, and those non-game channels could be moved to SD if necessary, too. Like you, I keep them solely to have something on the boot-up screen, and they take up all but two slots on page one.

If you have more than one page of channels on the Wii, I would highly recommend undoing that. It's not worth it to delete game saves for the sake of appearances, especially when all you need is part of page one covered for it to look good. Then, if you still have problems, you just have way too many game saves. Saves can be moved to SD, so move all the game saves from rented games or games that you've beaten and don't play anymore.

Still, I have 61 game saves, Nintendo Channel, Internet Channel, News Channel, Weather Channel, Shop Channel, Everybody Votes, Check Mii Out, Mii Channel, and Photo Channel... yet I have 1200 blocks open. How many games do you have? O_O

To Adam.

I have maybe 150 game saves and yadi yada. I have all but two slot full on the mainchannel like you.
I now know why people isn't satisified with the sd sollution. It is obviously shit. It's like giving crack to a cat, -great what do I do with it? Should my mainpage be fn empty so i can have space on my main menu nintendo are really morons.
That's what you get for being faithful for more than two decades? it's like a silverwedding or whatever

Giving crack to a cat? Silver wedding?! Are we still talking about moving games to an SD card here?
I'm satisfied, as are most, because it does exactly what it's supposed to do. It allows me to have all my games downloaded with only a minimal extra loading time. Considering most game saves are so small, I still find it strange that you have so little space. If making the first page empty of channels is such a huge concern for you, you could always put them on SD and move some NES or similarly small channels to the first page. However, I think if you have such a big problem with memory that you should just give in and empty that first page. It's not a big deal. You only look at the page for 2 seconds at the most before choosing either disc channel, SD channel, Wii menu, or message board. Also, you don't have to delete game saves. Most game saves can be copied to SD cards, and I highly doubt you play all those 150 games so regularly that this would be a problem...

But i want a pretty first page... I like the sd sollution also but it´s not perfect.... Couldn't they have like images that linked to the sd card that would be great... Maybe asking to much... It would be really cool if Nintendo showed us the wii2 on e309 just too mess up ms and sonys heads...

I don't understand. My Wii has only channels on it (the games are on SD) which cover the first page nicely, and there is plenty of space now.

How can you fill your Wii with game saves? That seems impossible, surely?!

If not... commiserations

Move saves for games you haven't played for a long time to the SD card?

Exactly. No one I know plays 150 games regularly, though if you do, you're living the dream, brother.

Complaints about memory space were already from a minority (albeit a significant and vocal minority) before this update, but you're unfortunately a case all to yourself now, I think.

Not including my extra channels that can be transferred to SD, I have 1312 blocks left. Minus around 325 for temporary WiiWare data storage, and I've still got around half my memory left after 81 game saves.

Remember though, some games can take up a lot of memory due to level editors and whatnot, and quite a bunch of game saves are also non-transferable to SD. I understand your problem though, Zane, since transferring game saves back and forth is a pain in the bum-hole - even more-so than channels IMO. Nintendo should do something to sort this out, but in the meantime, I can only suggest that you delete the saves that you're never gonna use again.

I don't know if any other games are like Brawl, but it uses up 128 blocks for the game save, so I could see how it might happen if Nintendo allows games to be released like that.

I can't remember many others right now either, but I know that Eledees used up a lot for the level editor. I can't remember whether games with level editors like Blast Works did or not, though. Then don't forget that there's extra save data required for the Mario Kart online data storage.

I will never delete my saves that's the point... I could but i would rather see that nintendo solves my problem.

for now, why don't you just back up the ones for games you very rarely play onto your computer... that way you'll still have them once Nintendo does get around to doing something more about the storage issues?

Not all saves can be transferred to sd i've noticed.

Eh. and transferring onto pc is not preferable either. (does not own mac)

you don't need a Mac to back up SD cards onto your PC... all you need is an SD card reader for whatever it is you have. :3 it's not the greatest solution ever, but it may help to alleviate your memory issues until Nintendo fixes the problem for you.

Yeah there aren't enough non-transferable game saves to take up the entire system's memory.

If this isn't fake, which I highly bet it is, then transfer some saves over to the SD card.

Even if this was true, nobody needs save files to hundreds of games at any point in time.

A reviewer could, and why would lie about it? someone stated that my system beeing full was the reason some of my games crashed. It´s possible I don't know maybe it´s dirty. However my memory is full of saves i have 498 block left or whatever.

Oh. and now my adressbook crashed...
