Sorry to make a new post here, but I've noticed a lot of people saying Gamestop is withholding the discs unless you preorder which is against what Nintendo and Capocom wanted so (this is from my post on the MH3 story on the front page)
I can get a few Demo discs, so (first come first served) email me at crusher4690... and we'll see how many I can get sent out if you can't get one. (one of my best friends is a Gamestop DM, I've let him know about how you guys have said that the employees have handled the demo distribution)
Once again, I apologize for the extra thread, but maybe we can get a few more demos out there.

The demo disc is available to anyone starting Tuesday. You do not need to reserve the game to get it though apparently some have gotten their demo early.
I mentioned the demo to the the guys at one of my local Game Stops, and they had no clue what I was talking about. Not surprising, considering they also seemed to have no clue how to breath with their mouths closed. There are 5 stores in the area, and this particular one is the only location to which I can relate other members' horror stories.
I even called my local GameStop before heading over there to ask if a pre-order was required, and the guy said no. Of course they wouldn't give one to me. Silly me, I actually trusted someone who works at that store.
Man, GameStop is either trying to gouge customers, or their employees are complete idiots. My brother had to place a pre-order for the game today in order to get the demo. Thankfully pre-orders can be canceled, but still...

they gave me one the other day. i did preorder because my gs doesnt get alot of wii stuff. but you dont have too. i got an extra one for my buddy. the demo is awesome. the loading screens can get annoying if you are going to the other side of the map. but the weapons and monsters are very cool. a very beautiful wii game to say the least. the online play will keep this game going for a long time.
Got mine today. Walked right in, told them - not asked - told them I'd like one of these promotional discs, and they didn't bat an eye. Handed me a disc, asked if I wanted to pre-order, I replied that I'd let them know after I had a chance to test drive the demo, thanked them kindly and went on with my day. They were very nice, no problems. It's not like I strongarmed them or anything. Can't wait to try it out!
All of Canada got screwed over for these demo discs. We were supposed to get them, but for whatever reason they never sent them to us. I signed up on the monster hunter site, but if I don't get one from them, I'd like one if you can get me one.
Does EB Games give out the discs? I ask because I know EB Games and GameStop are (technically) the same thing. And I don't have any GameStops near me ...
The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.
After playing the demo, I think I'll pass on this game, or possibly wait until it's cheap. It's a good game, but having to manually adjust the camera as you're fighting, the loading screens, the repetitiveness of the combat and the fact that we won't be able to take part in the online aspect of it are four major cons. My brother seemed to really like it, though, so he might just get it...

Got the demo last weekend but haven't had much of a chance to play it. So far I'm undecided. I haven't tested all my weapon options just yet but the game does seem to be a bit repetitive. Not sure if I am going to get this one or not. Long live the demo disk though, I'm much happier checking this out than plopping down $60 for something that I may not enjoy.
@Accc I'm waiting until I get the discs from the district manager (later this week) then when I find out how many I have I'll email people for their addresses. I'm not sure how many I'll have so I'm going from the oldest emails first (just to be fair to everyone) but even if I don't have enough for everyone, I'll let you know if I have one for you or not.

Just got back from Gamestop. Asked for a disc, but the clerk said that I would have to place a preorder. I immediately left.
I still haven't received my disc from Capcom's site yet
If the clerks do that, ask them how they expect people to get excited for the game if they can't play the demo. If people preorder the game they already want it, demos are usually meant for the people who are on the fence about it.
