Really, if there is an absolute must have, regardless of your normal preferences in games, SMG is that game. No Wii library is complete without it.

Get Galaxy or New Super Mario Bros. Wii if you like Mario. Might get Mario Kart Wii a chance (a lot of people do not like it because it does have some aggravating moments) but its still a good game. Not sure what genre you like but there is a ton of good games you can pick up at a cheap price online and at some game shops.
