Topic: Do you play gamecube games on the wii?

Super Smash Bros Melee, Super Mario Sunshine, Legend of Zelda Windwaker, Starfox Adventures, Starfox Assault, and F-Zero GX. Still need to snag my Kirby Air Ride and Pikmin 2 though.

Yeah, I still play GC titles occasionally. I still have the console as well so, if my 1st gen Wii would die on me I wouldn't feel sad to buy a new one which doesn't play GC games anymore. That, and I'm hoping for high res downloadable versions for the Wii U. Think of Wind Waker in 1080P

Sure. I'd rather play them on the Wii than deal with having two consoles set up at once.

Quite often actually. I own about 150 GC games, so I've got a lot of choices. I think the last game I played was Gauntlet The dark legacy. My gf wanted to play that before we start playing Baldurs gate.

People don't normally call it that in most places, but it's actually in the full title of the America and UK versions (and probably any other english language versions). Take a look at the box.

I think he meant growing but I could be wrong.

It also says "welcome to" before Animal Crossing. I always thought it was part of the boxart.:/

It is. Calling it AC: PG doesn't make sense. You might as well just call it Welcome to AC: PG.

Otherwise it is supposed to be called Animal Crossing.

@Vonseux You mean Tales of Symphonia, that's the only Tales of game released on GC, unless you mean you beat the GBA version of ToP via the Game boy player.

How else could I enjoy great titles like Mega Man X Collection, Mario Party 7, Super Mario Sunshine, Paper Mario: TTYD, Starfox Assault, and Windwaker. My Gamecube was defective anyways so playing them on my Wii is better.

No, I do not. I never had a Gamecube, therefore don't have any Gamecube games. I bought an Xbox for this generation so I totally missed out on what was the bee's knee's Nintendo-wise during this era.

The wii is my first console in a very long time, but I did try to seek out some missing treasure from the gamecube era. I have played a few and still own Beyond Good and Evil (perhaps my favorite game of all), Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, Second Sight (Great story by the way), and still to play: Blood Rayne, Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition and want to get a copy of Wind Waker, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Geist, and Dead to Rights. Looking for a copy of XIII. Have played others as well: Baldur's Gate, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and viewtiful joe. From this collection if you think of something else i might like please I am always open to ideas.

The Gamecube had so many great games I'm still catching up. I've beaten many on the Wii, and the number will only go up. It's a little sad, though expected, that the Wii U won't have Gamecube compatibility, but if they make its games downloadable, it will be a great consolation.

I really don't play Gamecube games on my Wii, I mostly play them on my actual Gamecube (: but after the sad day when my Gamecube stops working, I'm going to have to play them on my Wii eventually. Its too bad Gamecube games won't be supported anymore once Wii U launches, I love my Gamecube.

Wow, you are so lucky your gamecube still works, mine broke a long time ago.
