I'll pick up the 360 version. The FPS genre is about the only one I'm a graphics whore about so I just can't go for the weaker, low-res Wii version. That being said I'm hoping the Wii version worked out (I never go by just one review).

PS3 version for me. I was gonna pass (at least for now), but then I stumbled on the Kotaku review and that changed my mind. The SP sounds awesome.

I'm curious as to how similar this will be to the 360/PS3 versions. If everything is pretty much intact with only the graphics taking a bit of a hit then I think I'll take a look at this. Really enjoying Goldeneye so I'm thinking ahead for when that is finished for a new single-player shooter campaign to play through.

It feels too MW2-esque. So its either I might or might not buy it... but I'm thankful they've balanced the perks out.

That's weird. I would think the majority of gamers, myself included, think the FPS genre is about the only one where the Wii version usually is the way to go due to the significant controls advantage, although we'll eventually need to see how Playstation Move works with the genre.

Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

Ill definitely check this out but I hope its not to similar to Goldeneye. I'm loving me some Goldeneye at the moment and just might have to pass this up for a while but voice chat might make all the difference for me not to mention Co op play!

The problem is no FPS title on the Wii has lived up to the potential motion controls could offer. It doesn't take me long to realize I do better and have more fun with a standard controller.

Tell that to the millions who buy Call of Duty for PS3 and 360. Not trying to trash the Wii here, I love the Wii, but this game was meant for a next gen console.

Except there hasn't been a single case yet where the motion controls have provided a better experience than dual stick.

I've tried. At one point I owned both PS3 and Wii versions of 007: Quantum of Solace. I really liked the game. I sold the Wii version. Not only did it look far, far worse, but the motion controls sucked.

Dual shock is natural feeling enough for me. If I get a Black Ops game, it'll be PS3.

Ok then. Technically PS3 and Xbox360 are current gen. Wii would be last gen. It does not change the fact that this game was meant for a system more advanced than a Gamecube.

That's where user preference comes into play. I'm so used to using a wiimote/nunchuk setup for shooters that I very much prefer it over a dual analog system. I even tried using the CC Pro on Goldeneye, but it feels way too odd to me now. I have much more precision with the wiimote/nunchuk setup anyway.

I agree. First person shooter should be mouse and keyboard or pointer controls only. I prefer Wii remote and quantum of solice is a poor example of Wii remote control. I hated it! Modern warfare reflex for the most part got it right and my hopes for black ops will ne the same. After all the conduit is know for its excellent controls more then anything.

I haven't played them, but the reviews generally indicate that CoD:WaW and CoD:MW:RE are two such examples. They may have gotten nerfed in a few other areas, but the controls, and by extension, the gameplay, was not. Plus, even though they're Wii exclusives, I know from personal experience that the Conduit, Onslaught, and Water Warfare have controls that easily exceed dual analog, and all indications are that the new Goldeneye game (and eventually Conduit 2) does as well.

I played Black Ops. The Wii version is very buggy and it's almost impossible to control turrets with the remote. Goldeneye works much better with the stock Wii controller.

You lost me at Onslaught and Water Warfare. Decent games, but motion controls?

Nah, sorry. Sony still has the better controller for console FPSers.

And you're getting off topic.
