Topic: Black Ops reviews and discussions

I'm quite pleased with the Wii version of Black Ops. I still haven't seen everything the game has to offer, but the two modes I have played (Campaign and Zombies) are very enjoyable. Just being able to play the Zombie Mode on the Wii is fantastic, but the Campaign is also action-packed and has a rather deep story (I will admit, however, that the first few missions had me saying "What? I don't get it" outloud). The Wii Remote controls are even better in Black Ops, with plenty of customization options for getting the controls just right (and a few fun, but unneccesary ones).

By the way, when is there going to be an Ally Code thread? I'm itchin' to play some multiplayer with someone who isn't a total stranger.

Don't ask when. Take the initiative and go make one and see what happens. I'm sure someone else is thinking the same thing. Jon made the Goldeneye one and if he didn't I was going to!

I didn't know that ANYONE could make a thread like that. I thought only certain people could, like the administrators or something. I think I'll go make one right now...

Do they have dedicated servers on the PC yet? I`m guessing that they are taking the same route as MW2

Is it true that Black Ops Wii doesn't support local offline split-screen matches? Cuz that'd be a BIG turnoff for me, and will likely steer my decision to getting Goldeneye rather than BO.

But seriously, how could they NOT have local offline multiplayer?! That's just pure insanity!

@Qwikman & Bass, I agree with you, get goldenye, because it is made for the Wii, in black ops, you probably will have a better time playing on a ps3, xbox 360

I'm probably the only one on this site to play the Wii version. Only Zombie Mode is working online for me at the moment. Is there ANYONE who has the game or has run into the same problem?

I also play the Wii version! In fact, I'm the one who made the Ally Codes topic in the online section. And yes, I ran into the same problem: Zombies worked, Multiplayer didn't. I read a few different solutions for the problem online, such as:

-Make a second profile, then go back to your first profile and it should work (this is how I got it to work)
-Change your profile name
-Reconfigure your internet settings and/or reset your router

If none of this works, then I don't know what to tell ya.

I got the same thing. I don't own the game, but my friend does, and we decided to play it at my house the other night. Zombies worked like a charm, but multiplayer would not connect after we waited for over 5 minutes.

Good game though. The campaign beats goldeneye's for sure. You can actually ride the motorcycle in this, which was one of my biggest problem's with goldeneye. Why can't I fly the plane or ride the motorcycle. It was hard to drive that thing though. I kept spinning out on my enemies motorcycles.

My bro just got the 360 version, and I'll be starting the Single player this weekend. Already found out that the Multiplayer is way better, I might actually be able to get into it. I hope the Wii version is as good the HD ones.

As long as you don't care about lesser graphics and less zombie maps, it will be pretty close to the experience on the HD consoles.

Im really interested to see how this runs on wii, have it on 360 and almost feel like getting it.

just a question thats gonna be the awnser if i buy the game
in zombie mode in the wii version? if yes then is there also online mode 4 players?
if thats also yes then how many maps on wii and is there a possible chance that wii can have dlc for new maps?
(heard rumors on other websides that is the manual has something writen in it about dlc, fingers crost!!!!)

OK I just recently got into FPS with GoldenEye and now I am itching to try a few more. So my question is, is Black Ops part of a series that is necessary to play the other games in the series. Also what are the control schemes for the Wii version? I have an Xbox as well as a PC but I am thinking of picking this up for the Wii since I love the online multiplayer mode on GoldenEye so much, and I dont really want to play with a bunch of people that I dont know.

Also I was wondering do these games have alot of DLC later on and does the Wii get the DLC or is it just for the other systems?
