The volume is pretty good, but overall it's very close to the 3DS with or without headphones. I wish the headphones were a tad louder.

Yeah I think it's a little louder then the 3DS but that's not saying too much in my opinion.

I honestly don't understand why the headphone output is so low. It's the same thing with my 3DS. The built-in speakers are just fine, but the headphone port is low.

It can go pretty high but there is a slider at the top of the GamePad to adjust it.

I have ridiculous upside

That's my take on it. It's speakers are decent, but then volume just drops a ton when you're listening through headphones.

Because headphones can damage your ears much more easily than speakers around you.

Volume is good with headphones. Especially if they have volume control

Volume from the speakers seems great to me.
A big improvement over the 3DS speakers.

Haven't really tried headphones, so can't give an opinion on that.

its weird one set of headphones i use on the gamepad seem quiet whereas another set i have i cant turn the slider past halfway without it being seriously loud ( neither of these headphones have a volume switch built-in).

The speakers are WAY better than the Wii remote speaker, so I'd say it's a pretty big improvement. Haha... I'd say they're 33% louder than 3DS speakers, but just as good in terms of quality. As for headphones, it really depends on your headphones capabilities/features. Some headphones are just louder, some are quieter, but the louder ones take down the battery faster I assume...

There are games for Wii U, you know.
3DS XL is better than 3DS, IMO.
I'm all hooked up and ready to go.

If your headphones are like mine and have a built-in driver then you won't need to set the vol slider more than halfway ;)

I think the volume is perfectly fine. With or without headphones

Please note that my opinion is just my opinion. You do not have to agree with it. but I hope you at least respect my opinion, like how I respect your's :)

I was super impressed with the surround sound of the device. In fact, I listened to the second long sound test for about two minutes because it was just so cool lol

If we talk and have fun here on NL, feel free to add me!! (Just let me know so I can accept)
