I'm predicting that the fanboys will first complain about how slow Nintendo Wii U releases are in the first few years.
Because fanboys expect Nintendo's development teams to magically have the ability to produce HD content in the same time frames as the low definition stuff they have been immediately.
You know, this bashing of Nintendo is doing nothing to help your image. You sound like all the other journalists out their who have a grudge against Nintendo just because they do something different from the competition.
I have a Wii, 3DS, and PS3. I don't like one system more than the other, I play all 3 equally.

I'm bashing Nintendo now? I'm not even sure how I would bash a company - I imagine punching a brick wall would hurt, and i don't like pain.
I'm not sure how you could take that as a criticism of Nintendo anyway. Contrary to fanboy belief, Nintendo's programmers are not superhuman, and if you don't think there's a learning curve to go from developing SD games to HD games, then you don't know what you're talking about.
Developing HD capabilities is going to take Nintendo's internal people time and investment. It unlikely you'll see a massive run of Nintendo games in the early Wii U days, while they get up to scratch, since Nintendo likes to try and release quality software not rush things to market.
But hey, nice try. Keep being that little engine that thought he could.

Which is probably why they sent out a massive hiring list months ago. They realized that they were too small to accomplish the bigger projects at hand. Hopefully they are big enough to tackle multiple projects at once.

The wiiu will be nintendos last home gaming machine, which is a shame, the wiiu wont have any real 3rd party backing. With out this "the hardcore" wont fall into the same trap as they did with the wii. The casual market wont buy in great numbers as they have wii and they wont see the difference. Sure Wiiu will have 2 great mario games, a mario kart and a zelda game, but this is not enough. and a gimick controller will not be able to save the day. I really hope to be proved wrong, nintendo has given me many many great gaming moments. The only way nintendo can push forward is to do a sega and just develop fantastic games for other gaming machines........just think mario kart HD running on xbox, with live........
@BudrSbastig 1: where did you hear wii u will be nintendo's last game console? 2: Why would you want mario kart on Xbox. Mario kart is great because it's on NINTENDO consoles. 3. The end of nintendo will surely come if they stop making hardware. 4. Wii u won't just have nintendo games, it will have plenty of 3rd party support. 5. The controller is the main reason people want to buy the wii u in the first place.
@magic-wind All I was trying to say is that nintendo make great games.....look at galaxy 1+2, mario kart 7, skyward sword, the metroid games......we all love nintendo games, but think how good the next versions of these games could be if nintendo could focus all there attention into game devlopment and not into the next shaky shaky controller, the next mario galaxy with a proper pad i.e xbox or ps and with a proper online service would be epic.
I like many others, hate waggle control, its ok for kids, if given the option I always play wii games with my wavebird (still the best controller ) All i'm saying is that if nintendo want to attract the "hardcore" they should licence out there games to a "hardcore" machine. The joy of a mario game could go through the roof.......BLING Mario has collected 10,000 coins achievements /trophie
"Hardcore" you kidding me right. That word means nothing, it's just stupid. I always hear nintendo isn't "hardcore". What exactly does that word mean anyway. If not having standard controls doesn't make a console "hardcore" than your not real gamer. A REAL gamer plays all games regardless of whether or not it uses motion controls.

Except Nintendo didn't pull a Sega and flopped their latest hardware
