80-90% of those games were launch titles, or at least games that were worked on when developers still thought the Wii U would be a viable platform worth investing time/money in (I wouldn't count Rayman either, since that was supposed to be an exclusive)

Since then, the vast majority, if not all, cross platform third party releases have received the bare minimum in terms of effort and content. Ubisoft has been particularly lazy in terms of releasing quality versions of their titles on the Wii U.

How anyone could have faith in Ubisoft releasing the definitive version of Watch_Dogs on the Wii U is beyond me. We haven't even seen a single screenshot from the game or any other information about it EVER....and the game was already released on other systems months ago!
Not to mention that Ubisoft has since stated they won't be releasing any more mature games on the Wii U.

Do people actually believe Ubisoft is even intent on completing this game, let alone putting in the effort to make this version 'the best'??

Come on....

Never played Darksiders 2 as I heard it was a poorly made glitchfest

The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.

I'm currently playing Watch Dogs 2 & Manhunt

Yes, DefHalan said he thinks this game will come out.

I wasn't even talking to you, nor did I say that YOU said the game was coming out, so I don't know what this is about

I never said for sure the game is coming out (I am not Ubisoft and cannot speak for them). But I still do expect the game to come out.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.

I'm not confident Watch Dogs on Wii U will even have cars.

Can you name a single Wii-U third party release that was superior to the PS/Xbox versions?

1. Off-TV instantly makes any solid port of any game the better version.
2. Having multiple control options, as seen in some Wii U ports, can only be a positive.
3. Everyone has already said the main ones but here's my list of games that are arguably better on Wii U:
-Regardless of whether it was worth it or not, Mass Effect 3 on Wii U was enhanced by the gamepad and included DLC that should have been but wasn't in the original release.
-CoD:BO2 was almost the same game with an amazing multiplayer option with 2 screens for 2 players added
-Lego Marvel and Warriors Orochi have 2 screen coop
-RE Revelations had bonus features for Wii U
-Tekken Tag Tournament 2 has a very fun bonus mode and you can use the gamepad to draw designs on every part of your character.
-FIFA13 has 5 player, AR set pieces and in-play gamepad manager options. It was criticised for being FIFA12 with tacked on features but FIFA13 on other consoles was retrospectively criticised for not being as good as FIFA12.

A simple google search reveals several forum posts and articles discussing game breaking glitches in Darksiders 2 for the Wii-U (aside from it's apparent technical inferiority to the PS3/360 releases http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-darksiders-2... ).

Just because maybe you haven't experienced them, doesn't mean that the game doesn't have any issues.

Sorry, but having multiple control schemes and the potentially seldom used 'off TV play' doesn't automatically mean the Wii U version is 'better' when said version often lacks most if not all DLC, has framerate issues or lacks online play that features in other versions.

Also, Lego Marvel was a buggy unplayable mess. Honestly, that game routinely ran at sub 20fps levels.
COD lacked major DLC and game modes

@Beetlejuice That's why I said 'if it's a solid port'!! It does no harm to have extra control options and off-tv play and benefits some people. If the port is good (and I'll give you that it's a big 'if' when it comes to Wii U games) it is definitely a better game for me.

People still care about Watch Dogs? Seriously guys, if you were waiting for the Wii U version then be glad that you dodged a bullet. Ubisoft did you a favour.

So in the 80s or whatever, did people defend their opinions of movies by quoting that crazy homeless dude they met?

Because that would be more valid than Metacritic user reviews.

Meh. If it's not coming out, they sure have been lying really well. I just hope they actually make it good on Wii U. If they want to sell it for $60 USD for Wii U on launch, it basically needs to have the DLC included. Given how much time it's taking, I don't think Watch Dogs will even be a simple port anymore.

Of course, if everyone really dislikes the game on other platforms, we shouldn't really be worried anyway. Being the highest selling game just means people will buy 3rd party games, even if it isn't a good game. I haven't played it, TBH, so I might pick it up if the Wii U version fixes what people were complaining about.

No denying the hype was massive at launch but that was months ago and it fell off real quick. At this stage they've delayed it on Wii U to the point that people who might have gotten it on Wii U:
a. Are on the other side of the hype train and don't care anymore
b. were one of the ~5mill people who got it on a different platform
c. Are more interested in playing Smash/Kart/Hyrule Warriors/Bayonetta 2 on their Wii U

So I stand by what I said. People still care about Watch Dogs on Wii U? Yeah, I'm surprised by that.

Checking out those reviews, most of them are illegible, ranting "gamers". Most people seem to keep on comparing it to GTA, which is a dumb way to review a game.
My hype for Watch_Dogs died, so I'm not defending it, but I'm just saying those reviews aren't helping much to support your opinion.

To be fair, Watch Dogs was hyped as an original, innovative game that centers on hacking. What people got was GTA with hacking. It's still combat based. It's still about shooting people. It's about as "innovative" for the genre as Titanfall.

So negative comparisons to GTA were inevitable.

CaviarMeths

Metacritic user reviews are just like that. Extremely volatile. If they were to believed, every new CoD and FIFA game is worse than 10 Hitlers, and yet people still buy them by the millions.
