What are some abilities/tips for a Yoshi Amiibo? Thinking about redoing mine, since he seems to be the weakest of my 5 Amiibos. (he even sometime loses to normal CPUs, lol)
Also, all the crap I fed him, are they gone for good when I reset him? xD

Yes all the stuff you feed them is gone for good. Not completely sure what the "right" way to train an amiibo is, though.
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

Well it's kinda like Pokemon when you think about it...for Yoshi I usually build him for Speed and Attack. I was trying to make him an evasive Amiibo, but that's not working too well. lol

I personally don't feed my amiibo anything. It doesn't make for a fair fight at all. Even without feeding them they get a natural stat advantage as their level goes up.
Normally when I train my amiibo I start with a couple of mirror matches to show it how I fight, then I pit it in a 1 vs 3 against level 9 COU to learn evasion and how to handle crowds. Then after a bit I pick my best characters and fight it for a while. Then I finish off with more 1 vs 3 battles and some regulsr battles. I toggle between turning items on and off so my amiibo learns how to use items without completely relying on them.
But that's just me.

Amiibos are designed to know how to beat you, plus the afforementioned (unwanted) natural stat boosts makes them plenty enough of a challenge IMO. Feeding them just makes them physically impossible to beat. Unless going up against another beefed-up amiibo.

I can easily take out my Yoshi Amiibo, and he's already maxed out. lol
Didn't you say he sucks?
You said they were designed to take you out, but Yoshi when maxed out can be defeated easily. Which is why I'm asking if anyone knows any good abilities/moves for him to use.

Fair enough. Not sure how your amiibo can't defeat you, though. Because they really are programmed to learn how you fight specifically so even if they suck they should at least be able to be a challenge for you.

@Megumi: Amiibos learn best from you playing the character they emulate. Try showing him some tricks like dash grab and short-hop down-air or showing him that he can also play offensively or defensively. Amiibo Yoshis are very good at egg sniping when taught to do so.
Some random dude on Nintendo Life.
Toriel left for a while, so Freaky Fred took over her place!
Not changing this part of the signature until Nintendo announces Super Mario Sunshine 2.

@NightmareEater: Probably not trained against Ness's, then. Are you a good Ness player? If so, then start showing him the tricks and eventually he SHOULD learn how to fight it.
Also, just want to clarify in case anyone is lost, but the Amiibos don't stop learning at lvl 50. They're just very minimally stronger than they were before. Honestly the levels mean almost nothing, just like in Splatoon.
One thing my amiibos can't seem to counter is, well, Counter. Ness for example, while being the best fighter of all my amiibo it would seem, is helpless when I edgeguard by countering when it tries to recover.

Speaking of amiibo, I walked into Gamestop about a week ago and they had a Pac-Man! Picked it up immediately. Now to fine-tune my Pac-Man skills (luckily he's one of my mains!) by watching some videos of Abadango before I train the amiibo. Already had some practice with a group of friends a few days ago, which allowed me to get my Pac-Man game up to snuff as it had fallen while I was working with some other characters. However, it might fall back down thanks to the Splatoon update!
