Rosetta & Chiko? Is that what they're called in Japan? Also, Fierce Diety Link is amazing (now if only he weren't so low tier, we'd see this Link running around almost as much as Dark Link in Brawl!). Also, Pikmin & Alph. Just because tiers are for scrubs doesn't mean they don't actually mean anything. Just that a good player can still kick donkeys with a low tier character. Just keep in mind that high tier characters do still have an advantage. Having an advantage doesn't guarantee anyone victory.

As far as I know, no tier list (not that I care, just pointing it out) exists yet for the new Smash. I'm hoping people will be able to respect Link a bit more this time. I've often heard that he's terrible in Brawl, but he seems to be shaping up in the new games. I certainly liked what little I played of him at Smash Fest. The FD costume looks excellent and I'll most likely be using it often. Also, good for the Alph thing, too. It's good to see another Pikmin character represented. It adds a bit more variety to Olimar by letting you not play as him.

The pink Diddy color is in Brawl, too, so if anything it's just a color and doesn't mean anything. Mario's Wario pallet swap certainly didn't prevent Wario from being playable, and I'm hoping Fox's Wolf color is the same situation.

I still won't believe that Wolf is cut until it is confirmed. A new Star Fox is coming. Why should he be cut?

The roster for this game was decided waaay back in early 2012. I'm pretty sure Star Fox U didn't even exist yet.

By that logic we should have gotten Mewtwo, Doctor Mario & Roy back in SSBB since all those series got new installments on the Wii & DS.

Morton Koopa Jr. will probably be abused online just like in Mario Kart 8.

Discussions for the game would have gone back that far at least. If Nintendo as a company knew about a Star Fox WiiU from the start of its development, thdn Wolfs inclusion would have been decided long ago. Don't count Wolf out, unless it was for other reasons.

Possible DLC might make this whole argument invalid. All we can do is wait.

They added lucario in place of mewtwo. They put a more recent pokemon in the game. Made sense, I guess.
Radiant Dawn and Path of Radiance are the ones that came out around brawl, I think. Roy wasn't in those games, as far as I know. (I haven't played them myself yet, but I don't think he was in them.) But Ike was in them. They just switched Roy for Ike. If I got this wrong, please correct me. I've only played Awakening so far.
I don't know about the Dr. Mario thing. (shrug)

I'd be okay with some extra DLC characters. As long as they don't cost an insane amount.

FD Link looks amazing! I may just play Link over Toon Link now. All he needs is a buff.

And even though that Pikmin&Alph costume is awesome for Pikmin fans, I'm afraid Shadow will be a Sonic alt. That would mean Shadow4SSB4 won the argument.

I think Shadow as a Sonic alt would be very likely, if a Silver alt is present (a character that is pretty much universally hated due to both fights against him in Sonic 06) then Shadow's bound to be an alt.
