Rayman Legends and origins>>>>>>NSMB anything!

I totally agree. Buying a Wii U soon and Rayman Legends is one of the main reasons.

DKCR I agree was amazing, but Origins had so many design flaws it was legitimately difficult for me to enjoy at all.

The NSMB games at least have designed down, finalized, and they work fine.

I had much more fun with NSMB Wii and U than Origins due to better controls and level design.

The art style might not be as good as Origins, but I feel everything else is way better.

And DKCR didn't?! Most people well everyone hated the shaking that was pointless! Plus some still hated the trial and error of the mine karts and flying. Of which rayman was kinda the same. I'm not trying to convince you or anything it was for me a great game and better then any 2d Mario in resent years!

I didn't like those aspects of DKCR either.

I enyoed the NSMB wii a ton, and the main reason I bought the wii U mainly for NSMB U. I didnt really enjoy the wii u version, it was too easy, too short, and the levels werent as fun as the wiis. Then In about December, I discovered Rayman, and played that. It was great, and much better than any of the NSMB IMO. I also have Donkey Kong and Kirbys epic yarn, which are fun too. Anyways, I am going to buy Legends.

I actually enjoyed Origins, levels. The design was nice. And especially the music. But was I the only one who thought the cans and forks and other objects in the game were very out of place? As in, not fitting with the landscape and all?

And also, for me playing origins with more than 2 players was literally impossible. You accidentally punch someone off a cliff, cant see who you are, in all the chaos. Im not saying this wont happen in the new Legends.

I know, it's fine. The thing is @Tech101, whenever I died in DKCR or NSMB, it was always a fault of mine. (The rolling in DKCR was pretty responsive, I had very few deaths because of it.)

That isn't the case in Origins. And I'm really upset, as I really wanted to like it, as I know I am going to with Legends, which seems to be going to be everything that people promised Origins was.

The cans and forks sound more like Earth Worm Jim which was an excellent game for its time. I felt DKCR and Origins were very similar in the way they played. Other then the jump floating the level design was very similar in how you found secrets!

I'd be inclined to disagree, but I think we've all had enough of my apparent disdain for this game's design.

Let's bring this topic back to the thing that actually looks well designed ( ) and better on all accounts.
Is anyone else completely enamored by the Toad Story music?

Well, I had more fun with the music level in Legends than most of the Treasure levels in Origins since my jump wasn't randomly overshooting and undershooting the same jumps without rhyme or reason. The controls really seemed to work against the player much of the time in such sequences.

Well I don't have a Wii U but plan to pick this up as one of my first games! Hopefully it will be cheap by then!

I wasn't the only one that though Origins was spectacular. Just the Wii version alone got a 92 on metacritic.

I do agree that this does look like more of the same with better graphics but of course I'm ok with that!!

A 10/10 is way overrating it, IMO. They've docked games for less.

Nintendo Life wasn't the only one either. I believe 5 other reviews gave it a perfect score.

Edit: I sorry it only got two perfect scores.

Well, that's fine if it got a perfect score or two but I'm still surprised NL was one of them since I really don't find this game perfect and NL rarely gives perfect scores.

I'd say it's mediocre, but i'm right there with ya @WaveBoy, I haven't even beat the game yet. (Me and my friend are slowly trudging through it... cries)

I loved the game and I don't know what you guys are complaining about. The game is fantastic, deserves all the praise it got and every complaint made here about it I disagree with entirely. Are you guys talking about a game that isn't Rayman Origins or something? Did they mix up the labels on your copies?

Nope. I'm playing the exact same game as you are but find it absolutely terrible.

Just for you.
