Topic: Looks like Batman Arkham Origins is getting a Collector's Edition... But not for Wii U

Seems that PS3 and Xbox 360 are getting some sweet swag for shelling out twice the money for the Collector's Edition, while Wii U isn't getting the package.

The Gamestop website sadly confirms this:

Wii U is also getting shafted out of the Collector's Editions of Assassin's Creed IV and Watch_Dogs.

I've complained to Gamestop about this already for the Ubisoft titles, and I'll complain about it with Arkham Origins. I know it won't do any good, but I'm just PO'd about this.

Damn I want this collecter's edition. Already planned on getting the Necessary Evil documentary but I want that Orginal Batman skin.

There are only three Third-Party Games on my Wii U wishlist: Black Flag, Arkham Origins, and Unmasked DC Adventures. I don't want to be excluded from the other systems if I'm paying the same price. I don't mind the Collector's edition, but the two extra maps and no online mode is bull crap. Why would they put in the effort to remove that feature for the Wii U? Isn't the Wii U a next-gen console and the old-gen consoles get more? What's next? Altered Beast comes to the Wii U and has less features than the Sega Genesis version but has the same graphics?

I've already got the game pre-ordered (same as Watch_Dogs) and I REALLY want these Collector's editions. It's a sweet package. Utter nonsense that Wii U isn't getting either the multiplayer or this package. I'm sure WB will complain when Wii U version sales aren't as good as PS3 and 360 sales, too. >.<

Yeah that's what happens with these collector editions but they're so stupid and a waste of money that I'm glad they're not tempting me.

Now GOTY editions, that's a different story.

The funny thing is that we got the deathstroke dlc, and we're missing one of the core features.

I understand that not everyone is in to having a collection, but myself and others are, and packages like this and the ones for Watch_Dogs and ACIV are very appealing to people who like that kind of thing. I'm pretty upset about this, considering that we already lost out on the multiplayer.

I probably wouldn't play the multiplayer anyway, God knows why the game needs it in the first place. Arkham games are all about the single player. As long as that's good I'm fine.

Honestly I would be mad at this but its just clear now that third party companies just don't care about the Wii U. I am not sure why that is or what but thats just the way it is. Sadly if you want to play Nintendo games and third party games well than you are going to have to own a Wii U and one of the other systems.

Whatever statistics they have, are probably just showing them that the money it would cost to produce these features for the Wii U version(s), is greater than the amount of money they'd make back. In other words, it probably doesn't look like there's profit in it.

It's no more complicated than that.

Case in point, you can get the Assassin's Creed 3 Join or Die edition for £24 on game.
