Legend of Kay is a platformer that follows Kay, a cat hero and martial arts apprentice, who must embark on a journey to protect his fellow cats after the gorilla king emperor Shun attacks his home and dislodges the cat township. It first launched for PlayStation 2 and Nintendo DS in 2005.
I was surprised by this announcement, and it does look like a game I'd enjoy.
One question for those who played it on PS2: is it strictly level-based like Super Mario 3D World, or is it a bit more "free roaming", like Banjo-Kazooie?
The most out-of-left-field game possible gets a remaster on Wii U (and PC). Never heard of it, but I will take just about any half decent third party game at this point.
It seems to be a 3D action Platformer game, kinda like Ratchet & Clank (but more fast-paced-melee focused). I can't believe I never heard of it before, but it must've been the game I kept getting confused with the Legend of Kage (because I could've sword I heard Legend of Kage was good, yet it is balls). Hope this turns out to be true (fingers crossed).
Never heard of it before but sounds fun. I usually love games like this where all the characters are animals with human characteristics. Star Fox and Sly Cooper to name a few.
Kinda surprised I never heard of either the PS2 version or the DS port. I didn't frequent gaming sites as much back then but I was still into gaming magazines and such. Cult classic indeed.
Sooooo I don't mean to get off the rails here (but I am), it's being published by Nordic Games, who now own Darksiders (and several other promising IP). It's really good to see a nice 3rd party publisher like them bringing games to Wii U.
Crossing my fingers that the inevitable Darksiders III comes to Wii U, and more from this publisher.
(I can dream, OKAY!)
I think we won't see Darksiders 3 until the next generation of games, maybe cause that will be the only chance the game will ever release on a Nintendo console.Cause the Wiiu?Nah
The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

For a franchise that released the second a while back, which had poor sales to release it on a console that is known for having poor third party sales. What makes you think they would risk it on the Wiiu?I know i wouldn't cause i want money not disappointment.

That doesn't mean I would want it to skip the Wii U. I would be interested in buying it but if it doesn't come to Wii U then I wait until it is $10 or lower on a Steam Sale.

I would love the game to release on the Wiiu,if it did but it seems unlikely if it was announced.Still anything can happen.
This might've well been just announced a brand new game, seems like no-one would've noticed it already existed. Still, I'll probably play it if the reviews come out well. The original has 72 on metacritic. So they could probably bump that up to 80 with the right improvements.

Ha, yeah. You might wanna check the sales figures for Darksiders 2 on the Wii U before you get your hopes up. If you can't be bothered, lets just say it sold less than Sonic Boom. A complete travesty. I thought both of the Darksiders games were really well made. Even if they were just blatant ripoffs of other series.

From the reviews I've read / watched, it's a linear game with levels which doesn't even let you replay levels you've already beaten.
