Topic: Is that direct all nintendos doing for e3

Between my WiiU & 3DS it looks like I will have more than enough to keep me occupied along with all the stuff I already have or need to get until the next stream of totally awesome arrives

Probably being developed in outer space, and they couldn't mail the demo disc in time for E3. LOL!
Seriously though, it will most likely be a direct video at the end of the year, or something... It probably still needs a year before it's done.

Well E3 has always been about the surprise game. We all started watching the Direct knowing we'd see Smash Bros, Mario Kart and a 3D Mario we all assumed would be on the level of Galaxy. We expected to see something big from Retro ontop of that. Then we get Smash Bros and Mario Kart, which are fantastic, and are told that the 3D Mario is more like 3D Land than Galaxy...... and that Retro is doing Donkey Kong again. What reaction did you expect to see?

Well, I didn't care for DK that much, and 3D World looks ok.
I'm not looking forward to those games as much as everything else. Smash Bros., Mario Kart 8, and X(especially) are what made it awesome for me.

I still recommend watching the Direct in HD on the Wii U eShop. Everthing looks WAY better.

Maybe they'll have a Zelda event or something talking about the Wii U game and ALBW. Or maybe not, I dunno...I saw Smash and the new Mario 3D game, I'm good. xD

PLEASE TELL ME THAT'S NOT THE ONLY SMASH TRAILER THEY WERE SHOWING! IT WAS AWFUL! THEY ONLY SHOWED 2 CHARACTERS ANYWAY! WON'T THERE BE ANOTHER TRAILER!?!?!?

MarioKart 8= stupid name
why is it called mariokart 8? is there anything less creative? how about "MarioKart Gs" (because zero gravity). yes i know that's a stupid name, but it's more creative than stupid "Mariokart 8". that's worse than "mariokart 7" because they'd already named a game with a number!

I liked Nintendo's E3. I think they showed WAY better games than Sony or Microsoft, thus far, IMO.
I like how Dead Rising 3, Killer Instinct, Mirror's Edge, and Metal Gear look on Xbox One, but PS4 still hasn't shown me anything I would want.
The whole 'Xbone' thing is funny, too, because PS4 is doing alot of the same stuff, now. It's just ironic. Payed online, looks just as much like a VCR, comes with a camera(which still isn't as good as Kinect), and it will still be sharing alot of games with Xbox One.

I'm hoping that they will still surprise us with something. Wasn't it stated before that Retro is in fact working on a game that involves scanning with the Wii U Gamepad? We still have a couple days. I was a little disappointed with the direct, but regardless the games are looking good. I still plan on buying a Wii U this holiday season if I can get it for a good price.

Hopefully Nintendo still has a big surprise shocker in store for us. I wouldn't put it passed them.

Basically every game with a number subtitle says hi. Forza, etc...

every mariokart game before 7 had a creative name (doubledash, Super Circuit, Super MarioKart ). it's like the name department got lazy.

That's not true. There's really only five things I ask from Nintendo every generation.

1. An awesome open world 3D Mario
2. An awesome Zelda with great graphics
3. A good Mario Kart
4. An awesome smash
5. Main series Pokémon on handheld

That's all I ask. Everything else I can use a PC for. So far, Nintendo has failed miserably at number one. The jury is still out on number two. Number three looks great. Number four doesn't look bad, but I still need to see more. And number five looks great.

So that's all, just five things every generation and I'm happy.

see, the thing is, people prefer PS4 to Xbone because PS4 has no DRM. that's why people are hating Xbone.

Well, I thought Nintendo's E3 was best. Final Fantasy 13vs. doesn't measure up to X, IMO. I just liked Nintendo's games better.
They still look graphically impressive. I said this in a couple posts up... I'm not as excited for Mario3D and DK as much as everything else, but I thought everything they showed game wise is better than what Sony and Microsoft showed.

You can't say I'm 'WRONG'. It's an opinion. I don't give a s*** about those games Sony showed.

EDIT: BTW, I only liked 3 games Microsoft showed, with 0 from Sony. That's only counting exclusives. MGSV and Destiny are on both of those. X beats FF13vs, IMO.

Is the name "Mario Kart 8" really such a big deal? If you don't like it, go ahead and call it "Mario Kart: Gravity Games" all you'd like

it's funny, i seem to be the only one who doesn't give a S*** about any of the Direct games (including X).

that dk country game is by retro again????
i dont see any other nintendo development team left that could be on to something special like metroid.
nintendo ead is probably working on mario3dworld and the other studios have projects themselfes like smash, zelda ww, pikmin.

it was a cool Ndirect but comparing it to usual nintendo press conference at E3 it was a huge disappointment!

edit: mario kart 8 is a good name. have you seen the logo? the 8 fits well for the new feature with antigravity

I've never played Bayonetta before, but that trailer got me hyped.

That's fine, but I didn't say you were wrong for thinking that. That's the difference.
