So now that Epic Mickey: The Power of Two is getting a Wii U version, I'll be getting that one. Now it should be a much better experience on a Nintendo console than on the less-powerful Wii. The only thing holding me back from pre-ordering is that I don't know if it's coming on the North American Wii U launch along with Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion or not. If not, I'll pick up Power of Illusion along with my Wii U and wait until Christmas for The Power of Two.

At any rate, the GamePad should make things more interesting for the game, so how do you think it'll turn out?

As soon as I heard that Epic Mickey 2 was coming to the Wii U; I almost about flipped out! And I kind of figued it would come to the Wii U; even though they didn't say anything until the Wii U announement on September 13! So when pre-ordering a Wii U; I put down money on a pre-order for the Wii U Epic Mickey... along with the 3DS one! I never fully played through the first Epic Mickey; since my Wii has been broken down! So I can't wait to play through both Epic Mickey games! However I think I just might love the 3DS Epic Mickey a whole lot more; because I love the classic sprites & gameplay that's close to the SNES Mickey game I have!

The release date for Epic Mickey 2 is 11-18-12, the same day as the Wii U launches. They haven't said anything about that version coming later so I guess you could preorder it if you wanted.

Seems like Epic Mickey has really turned into a multi-platform franchise,it's coming to Wii,Wii U,PS3 Xbox, and Power of Illusion for 3DS.

Honestly I am more excited for Power of Illusion more than the Wii/Wii U Epic Mickey 2. I played the first one on the Wii and quite honestly was disappointed by it.

pretty much. Oddly enough I have no nostalgia for Castle of Illusion though.

It is nice to see that notable multiconsole releases for all 3 systems (4 for both Wii systems) is finally a thing again.

Is that concept art or from the game? If it's from the game... Wow, this game seems darker than the first one, which had d few dark moments.

So me and my wife have been wanting to get this game since we are Disney fans, and I loved the original game.
I do have a few questions before we get the game though. I've been waning the Wii U version but after reading reviews, I'm not so sure.

-Are there real frame rate issues with the Wii U version?

-Does Mickey has to use the gamepad instead of a Wii remote, and if so, how are the controls (I ask this in part because I did play the original on the Wii, and I'm not sure how the paint brust would fell with a control stick instead of the Wii remote?

-Do you have a personal recommended version of this game?

I didn't play the first one but got number two last week when I got the U. Traded it in yesterday because after playing it for approx 2 hours I lost the will to live, I was that bored.
