So now that Epic Mickey: The Power of Two is getting a Wii U version, I'll be getting that one. Now it should be a much better experience on a Nintendo console than on the less-powerful Wii. The only thing holding me back from pre-ordering is that I don't know if it's coming on the North American Wii U launch along with Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion or not. If not, I'll pick up Power of Illusion along with my Wii U and wait until Christmas for The Power of Two.

At any rate, the GamePad should make things more interesting for the game, so how do you think it'll turn out?

As soon as I heard that Epic Mickey 2 was coming to the Wii U; I almost about flipped out! And I kind of figued it would come to the Wii U; even though they didn't say anything until the Wii U announement on September 13! So when pre-ordering a Wii U; I put down money on a pre-order for the Wii U Epic Mickey... along with the 3DS one! I never fully played through the first Epic Mickey; since my Wii has been broken down! So I can't wait to play through both Epic Mickey games! However I think I just might love the 3DS Epic Mickey a whole lot more; because I love the classic sprites & gameplay that's close to the SNES Mickey game I have! :D

The release date for Epic Mickey 2 is 11-18-12, the same day as the Wii U launches. They haven't said anything about that version coming later so I guess you could preorder it if you wanted.

Honestly I am more excited for Power of Illusion more than the Wii/Wii U Epic Mickey 2. I played the first one on the Wii and quite honestly was disappointed by it.

pretty much. Oddly enough I have no nostalgia for Castle of Illusion though.

It is nice to see that notable multiconsole releases for all 3 systems (4 for both Wii systems) is finally a thing again.

I'll be playing my copy of Castle of Illusion in the following weeks, i haven't played it since the early 90's so I'm sure i'll get struck by some Retro GennyNostalgic Lightning. :p I remember enjoying COI quite a bit, but i also remember it being fairly luke warm in the challenge department, at least compared to the beastly NES ttiles i took on like the Ultimate Warrior on a sugar infused WWF Choco Taco binge. B-) Anyways!

Looking forward to Power of Illusion not so much the Power of Two. But I'll still be getting Epic Mickey for the Wii regardless of the mixed reactions.

I've decided to get Power of Illusion and get The Power of Two for Christmas, but this game should still be good. It should be if they seriously fixed the camera and added voice-acting. Anybody who played the first game and felt let down, this game should be even better than that one.

If you pre order from GameStop you get an Oswald hat, this applies to Power of Illusion and the other versions as well.

I played this a little this weekend. It seems much the same as the first, but a vastly improved camera.

In other words, awesome.

Is that concept art or from the game? If it's from the game... Wow, this game seems darker than the first one, which had d few dark moments.

It's definitely the game, so that's why this is pretty exciting that The Power of Two may end up meeting the awesome expectations of the first game's concept art.
