@ogo79: Dude, the game was patched last week and runs perfectly now...why don't you at least give it a chance, especially since the Castlevania series is essentially dead and is unlikely to ever have another game in the series released.

And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)
So this game has had a patch in the UK, can anyone confirm this? Is this game worth getting I like platform, exploring type games? Thanks for any replies. It would be nice if the developer confirmed the game had been updated.
@Scottie I'm in the UK and I checked my WiiU downloads last night and I still haven't received the patch yet. From what little I played, it seems like an excellent game. I just don't want to spoil the experience by playing the buggy un-patched version.
It's absolutely ridiculous how long we're having to wait for this patch!! Olympia Rising came out after this and has already received three patches.
@shinynewbicycles Yes agreed, hope we get the patch here soon in the UK. I will then consider downloading. Is Olympia Rising worth getting or is it still unplayable even with the patches?
It's a really great game but the bugs are very troublesome. My recommendation is to play it for sure, but after the patch. I beat it 100% and as much as i enjoyed it i also found the sound issues and freezing really frustrating. Thank god you can save whenever you want. It was probably a solid 9 in my books without the freezing.
I can confirm the patch solves a lot of the problems. The game is actually playable now for the most part. The only problem I ran into was some pretty severe performance drops during the Catacombs section in the end of the game. Luckily, that section is optional, but it's still frustrating nonetheless.
Either way, the game is in a state in which I'll recommend it to people now. Give it a try, because design-wise it really is an awesome game.
@Hey-Cha-La I meant EXTREME slowdown. The catacombs section is sort of a battle gauntlet - you face room after room of increasingly powerful enemies, not unlike what happens in some bonus sections in Zelda games. There should be some sort of exponential memory leak there or something, because by the time I reached the last room, the game was pretty much in slow motion.
@ricklongo LOL, maybe that would be good for an aging gamer such as myself with slowed reflexes!
I presume you still highly recommend Teddy? I'll be downloading this very soon - I also recently heard of a game called La-Mulana that I was thinking of downloading as well.
@Neko_Ichigofan
How does La-Mulana compare to Chronicles of Teddy? Like, which one would be better?
Also, do you know if WiiWare on the Wii U is in HD?
@Hey-Cha-La La-Mulana is actually the better game hands-down in my opinion, however Chronicles of Teddy is great as well. Also La-Mulana has a video output of 480p so it's ED not HD, but being ED means that it still looks nice on an HDTV.
I haven't played Teddy yet, but the only action adventure that is close to La-Mulana's overall quality is Zelda.
I can't compare La-Mulana with a game I haven't played,...
What I can say is it's above all the Shovel Knights, Cave Stories, Elliot Quests, Guacamelee's and Shantae's, and so there's a good chance it's above the Teddy Chronicles as well. "Above" in terms of adventure, atmosphere, and content; and for me personally, in gameplay and music. Not to say the other games are bad. They're excellent in many ways as well.
