I want a part first person part third person 3D Metroid on the Wii U, some of which you can choose to fit your style of play. How about if Samus explores a planet similar to Earth in her Zero Suit in third person and explore other planets in her Varia Suit? I'd also like to see some brawl, hand to hand combat and the use of her whip in the Zero Suit part....
OK, I THINK THAT'S FAR ENOUGH...
God first.

I dunno. The only reason I talked about a graphics change was because I wanted to see the franchise kind of go through a "soft reboot". I'd at least like a different style from Other M and Prime trilogy.

Metroid Prime 4 on Wii U also a HD remaster of the Prime Trilogy, thats what I'd like to see myself.
and for both to be advertised like they are Mario Kart and Smash Bros combined (wishful thinking)
Agreed. What Metroid needs REALLY BAD is sales.

I think a 3D Metroid in the style of Prime would, in the long run, be better for Nintendo. A lot of people loved the Prime series and many of those people were disappointed when the style of the game changed in Other M. I'm not saying Other M was a bad game (I personally liked it), but I liked the Prime series much much more. It was far easier to feel like you were exploring a mysterious, alien landscape in first person perspective (I've played all the 2d metroids for purposes of comparison, except the gameboy one)
That, plus Nintendo needs to diversify its offerings a bit. As someone previously indicated, the Wii U has too many 2d titles (though they are all good). They're experimenting with the shooter market in Splatoon, but that's third person. I think if they produce a really good 1st person shooter Metroid game with online multiplayer they could make a killing and attract some more hardcore players (many of whom liked first person shooters).
The first person shooter genre is not my favorite genre because many games lack uniqueness, but uniqueness has always been Nintendo's strength. If they apply that in making another Metroid game, it could be really amazing.
I would like both 2D and 3D Metroid, but any of the two would be great if they don't make the story so horrible like they did in Other M, even though I'm not a fan of story in Metroid games, I would like a Metroid game like the others without story being throw at my face every single minute.
What's weird is I'm the total opposite on Other M. I liked the story and hated the gameplay.
I will also agree with you on that to an extent. I didn't love, nor hate the story. I also didn't feel any problems with Samus' character. I just disliked the majority of the gameplay, and how unsatisfying it was. So overall, I'd just say that the game is mediocre, not TERRIBLE like people claim.

3d Wii U. We have far too many games in 2d on the Wii U. If they really want to showcase the U It needs to be in 3d. Save the 2d stuff for the 3ds as it's a better fit for it.
I agree, the Wii U doesn't really need anymore 2D sidescrollers. (even though most of them are awesome)
A new Metroid Prime makes more sense to me tbh. I mean, I would love a new 2D Metroid but you can find a decent amount of indie devs making 2D Metroid-like games. Shadow Complex came out 5 years ago, this is nothing new. But the last game that played like a Metroid Prime game was...Metroid Prime 3. No one has made a Metroid Prime since Metroid Prime so Nintendo should make a Metroid Prime.
Definitely 3D like Metroid Prime. Like Slider said, no Metroid Prime since Metroid Prime so it's time for some Prime Time!!!.....
With the Wii U and the gamepad it just makes a lot of sense. Sales wise maybe not so... hmm... If Retro does come out saying(for the second time); "we are making the game you wanted us to make" We definitely know for sure it's a new Metroid!
