I know there is a remake already on the XBLA, but will Nintendo ever be able to release the original version on the VC? Per Wikipedia, it says that it was originally developed by Broderbund/NCS and published by Broderbund/Konami. It was available for NES, SNES, and the MD. Which port would you all prefer if released? I think this would be a great release for us retro gamers.

Agreed! I played the original PC PoP ans it was great, despite being hard as balls. It was also released for the TG-16. I'd say any of those versions have a pretty good shot of reaching the shop.

I hope so. It would be a great addition to the VC.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

The original was great. I think the PC Engine version has a good chance (hopefully on the Japanese VC if nothing else!), so maybe there's some magic Hudson can work to make that happen.

@Sean: Off topic, is Overturn any good?

I enjoy it; I think it will be even better with the English translation and a decent online community, but even as a standalone game it's a good bit of fun if you like Virtua On-style robot battling.

I really would prefer to see an Armoured Core style game though...

I've been waiting for Another World and Flashback but would enjoy playing Prince of Persia again too.

How about Flashback? Or Blackthorne?

Is anyone able to get Prince of Persia from the Wii Shop yet? It shows up in the news section, but I can't find it anywhere on the store.

But the original game is in Sands of Time and in Forgotten Sands.

Ojalá se te acabe la mirada constante, la palabra precisa, la sonrisa perfecta. Ojalá pase algo que te borre de pronto, una luz cegadora, un disparo de nieve.

Did you play the wii version of forgotten sands? :P The sticker on the box pretty much lied. It's the original version of prince of persia but not the promised snes version.
