Donkey Kong Country 2 is amazing and everyone should be able to play it. Here's hoping we get them on Wii U some time.

It's Wario time Yaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Well I never got the chance to get them on the VC, which lead me to go other routes to play them. ;)

Honestly though there are just ok games to me. I mean the graphics are nice and gameplay but I dont know for the SNES I always fell back onto SMW as my main platformer.

I don't miss them at all because I still have all 3 on my SD card in my Wii U to play whenever I like. I do however think they definitely need to be released for the Wii U Virtual Console since all 3 have been removed from the old Wii Shop...

No, because I bought them for the Gameboy Advance, where there's no input lag and I can save everywhere.

After the crap that went down with 007 Goldeneye, I can't see Microsoft allowing the Donkey Kong trilogy to return to Nintendo's VC any time soon.
Tbh though, I really don't understand why Nintendo just doesn't buy the copyrights for those games, it'll save all of the hassle of paying Microsoft for rent on what is essentially Nintendo's IP's.

Out of curiosity what happened with Microsoft?
Also DK is a Nintendo franchise how could Microsoft have a hold on these games?

The characters may be property of Nintendo, but the code/game itself became Microsoft's by extension when they acquired Rare. I guess.

Nintendo owns the DK characters not the coding or any other parts of the DKC games, which is why they were able to make DKCR and DKCR:TF but couldn't use things like King K Rool or the Kremlings. Microsoft acquired those things when they bought Rare since Rare owned those things. Its also the reason why games like Donkey Kong Coconut Crackers for the GBA was turned into It's Mr. Pants and why Diddy Kong Pilot was changed to Banjo-Pilot since MS didnt own the characters.

Interesting rumor though its was believed by some MS executives that when they bought Rare the Donkey Kong license came with it thus making them think they owned the Donkey Kong name.

Actually, I believe Nintendo still holds the rights to the Kremlings. Nintendo owns the entire Donkey Kong IP, Rare was simply licensed to use it.

I though MS did cause if that was the case why didn't they use them in DKCR?

I'm not sure why they weren't in DKCR; I think it was just Retro's decision to design new enemies. It wasn't a bad choice in my mind, since it effectively separates them from Retro's work.
