I'd really like access to an archive of EGM from the 80s as I can remember reading some things in their arcade reviews that I cannot put into articles because I don't have the source to confirm (and therefore might be making it up!).
Cool find, and it reminded me of something: Anyone here in the UK used to read Sonic The Comic before it went bust? That was a pretty cool comic, spent a lot of my childhood reading it. Well, it still exists Now in online form, and as an unofficial fan publication as opposed to its previous official status, but it still has a lot of the artists and writers who used to work on the original.
I don't read it personally, I'm not into comics anymore, but the writing and storylines seem to be still up to scratch with the old printed comic. Cool stuff.

I forget which issue it was, but somebody sent in pictures of the GoldenEye Facility results screen from single-player and they had amassed a stupidly large amount of kills. I thought "I can beat that!" and then camped out in the big room with the tankers and slaughtered hundreds of soldiers for like two hours. I wound up crushing that guy's tally and took a Polaroid picture of my screen. I was going to send it in, but by the time the pic developed I looked at it and had one of those "what am I doing with myself?" moments so I never bothered sending it in.
Fame and fortune crushed by my 13-year-old revelations.
I've been a frequent visitor of Nintendo Life from before VC reviews merged with it. Going back many years on meanmachinesmag as well.
For the people disappointed with the lack of N64 magazines or US publications, please do keep in mind that we only started out about 6 months ago and that we're a small team of about 4 core members. At the moment we're focussing on UK magazines since Nreive and myself are from the UK and Belgium respectively, so we mostly have UK magazines. But also since the UK side has been ignored for a long time when it comes to magazine preservation. And since there have been so many incredible magazines that have come from the UK in the past decades, we decided that focussing on those would be a great idea.
Triverse is slowly gearing up to start working on US magazines though, since he's based in the USA it's easier and more cost effective to let him take care of the classic US publications .
As for N64 magazines, again, we certainly are interested in working on preserving those as well. We select the magazines on several criteria, from the way we feel about them personally, to how hard they are to find nowadays as well as how fond other people are of them. The only problem is time, as an average 100 page magazine can take anywhere from 10-30 hours to complete as there's a lot more that goes into the releases than just putting a page on the scanner and pressing a button. A lot more in fact. So please be a bit patient with us and I'm sure when the site keeps on growing in the coming year that you'll be able to find some things that will be of interest.

This sounds really cool. Before I go download though, is it legal?
Yes, the FAQ mentions that they contact the publishers of the magazines, and don't accept donations, thus there's no personal gain involved. It's just providing people with the opportunity to read old news magazines that the publishers most definitely aren't going to have any interest in re-publishing.
