I don't like clutter, so I tend to get rid of systems once they have decent support through PSN/eShop. Kinda seems pointless to keep my old SNES around when every SNES game I ever cared about is on VC.

Currently own:
PS2
PS3
PSP (planning to upgrade to Vita next week)
Gamecube
Wii U
3DS

2 - NES
2 - Genesis Model 2
1 - Genesis Model 1
1 - SNES
4 - Game Gear
1 - Gameboy Color
1 - JVC X'Eye
1 - Saturn
2 - PSX
2 - N64 (Grey and Jungle Green)

I keep saying I will move into next gen soon but my 360 still has so much to play and so much still coming. That being said I will most likely pop on Wii U soon.

SNES, GBC, GBA SP (gave the original GBA to my sister), GCN, Wii, DS, DS Lite

Used to own a Sega Pico too, but my parents sold it in a garage sale a decade ago.

EDIT: I don't buy old consoles, I only buy ones that are current gen, so I won't go back and buy a N64 or NES or GB, the virtual console is much more efficient anyways.

@Waveboy: Yeah I hear ya, at least you got to play those games that for some reason will never come to the VC . Yeah I was never big on the original Genesis controller I always like the feel of the six button one myself.

At the moment, 11 (in order of release):

  • Original GameBoy
  • Nintendo 64
  • PS2
  • GBA (Limited Gold Pikachu NYC Edition, but in pretty bad shape)
  • GBA SP (Tribal, not 100% sure where it is, L and R buttons don't work)
  • PSP-1000
  • Wii
  • PS3 (Slim)
  • 3DS (original)
  • Vita
  • Wii U

I've owned more consoles over the years which I have either broken or given away. Also have a pretty bad PC if that counts.

So the PS3 doesn't get much game time eh? I'll admit, I actually preferred my Xbox 360....Mainly because the games looked better, as in razor sharp and with proper contrast(This applies mostly to multi console releases) vs the PS3's soft looking washed out craptastic offerings(Resident Evil 5, Ghostbusters, Bioshock ect ect) plus The xbox 360's analog sticks felt tighter unlike the dual shocks regurgitated loose feeling mushroom sticks.lol Too bad the 360's d-pad is completely broken. Either way I didn't care for either console, what was offered felt very familiar and overall was just more of the same llast gen experiences drizzled in a new lick of paint + HD. HD was striking, just beautiful looking at first....but you get used to it, and then you realise you're essentially playing prettier PS2 games.

I was in heaven with the Wii with the entire retro revival + motion controls and Virtual console to even give those twins a 2nd thought.

Braid, Virtua Fighter 4, Resident Evil 5 and Bioshock(Until I got bio-bored 4 hours in) were the 3 stand outs on the XBOX 360 for me. If I had kept it, I would of probably picked up Bioshock Infinite, Mortal Kombat, Contra Hardcorps Uprising and maybe soul calibur V.....but eh.

@Waveboy: That's funny you had a Xbobx 360, can't picture thatt . The PS3 gets some occasional use from me for some of the PS2 collections I have (Taito, Capcom, Mega Man, etc.) and Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection but that is pretty much it now. I use my Wii U a lot though whether its VC, Indie, or something like SM3DW, DKTF, etc. The GamePad is key when the wife wants to watch something on the big screen. You using your Wii U yet? I'm looking forward to MK8 and looking forward to racing some of the crazy cats 'round here.
