What games have you sold out of, say, disappointment or frustration, only to give them another chance years later?
Super Mario Sunshine- My first impression was "This isn't a Mario game!", so I sold it after awhile. I purchased a used copy years later and have found the game rather charming. However, SMS did prompt me to seek out a more traditional Mario game, which led me to discover Paper Mario: the Thousand Year Door.
The Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker- the Forsaken Fortress was so frustrating that I sold the game, only to give it another go years later. I am now at the boss before the Tingle fetchquest. I've found the game to be an interesting, if weird looking, Zelda title.
Majora's Mask- this took me three tries. First was the Zelda Collection, then an actual cartridge, then a Wii download. The prologue (i.e. up to getting the Ocarina) drove me nuts. Once I finally got the Ocarina, and especially the owl statues, everything became more leisurely.
I like to keep every game I've enjoyed but I've had to sell a few from time to time for storage reasons. I only ever usually have one console hooked up to the TV so I often have to sell my old games when I get a new system. I've actually bought a few games back to play, such as a select few PlayStation and Mega CD games.
Symphony of the Night is one such example, which wasn't cheap. A few of the Mega CD games cost a bit too. It's worth it, though, to be able to play them again.
I sold and repurchased Tetris Worlds for GBA, only to regret buying it again the second time. Now I'll keep it just to remember how truly awful it is so I don't make the mistake of buying it a third time, lol.
too many games. I was dumb when I was young and assumed selling games was in some way a good idea.
-Super Smash Bros. Melee. I still have no idea why. I realized when I bought it again just how awesome this game was. I'm ashamed I ever sold it.
-SSX Tricky
-Super Monkey Ball (technically, I gave the sequel as a gift so that doesn't count)
-Luigi's Mansion
-Enter the Matrix
-Mischief Makers
-Glover
-Majora's Mask*
-Ninja Gaiden NES*
-Super Mario Bros. 3*
-Kirby's Adventure*
-Super Mario Land*
-Wario Land*
I sold Metroid Prime back in the day but bought Metroid Prime Trilogy on Wii when it came out.
I sold my entire N64 collection (about 20 games) when I was young. I've repurchased many of them through VC, but there are still a bunch I wish I had.
Chrono Trigger - I bought Final Fantasy Chronicles, couldn't get into it and sold it, and then bought Chrono Trigger DS a few years later, and loved it. I don't know what changed for me.
Xenosaga Episode I - I got stuck someplace midway through and didn't play it for years, so at some point I figured I'd probably never boot it up again and traded it in. Of course, I felt like re-playing it less than two years later.
Super Paper Mario. Completed the main story, then sold it to buy my 3DS. Felt like playing it again a few months ago, but I only got up to half way through the third chapter...

That's about it, I don't ever really sell that often and when I do, it is never ever 1st party Nintendo games. I really don't understand people that sell their games right after they beat them. I have a bunch of games that I have beaten 100% both quests and everything collected and I still don't sell them, a good example of that is the two Super Mario Galaxy games.
Chrono Trigger - I bought Final Fantasy Chronicles, couldn't get into it and sold it, and then bought Chrono Trigger DS a few years later, and loved it. I don't know what changed for me.
Because the DS version didn't have long loading times and poor sound?
(well, says the guy who grew up playing CT on the SNES and couldn't stand the PS1 port to finish it even once)
