The best game to me would definitely be Yoshi's Island. It's Graphics were superb, sporting crayon like visuals that feels like it came from a well made children's book. The gameplay was on par in quality to the graphics, Having near perfect controls that was perfected from Mario world's Yoshi, a balanced difficulty that would be simple at the start, and engagingly intense near the end, and levels that were unique, especially since its a Mario game. And most of all, what left me with the most impact was the music, a Sweet, sweet, melody that gives an atmosphere of childhood and innocence in some, and a cheerful adventure in others. I loved to listen to that intro level all day. This game is one of the games that showed the power of the SNES. And I will always cherish it.
Since I can only say one, hands down it has to be Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Triforce of the Gods. It has amazing level design, the difficulty is well balanced, the music is memorable, and the bosses are actually fun to play against.
Of course, i would have to say if i was allowed to speak my peace about another game, Yoshi's Island is one of my favorite games ever, and an absolute classic.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

SNES: SoulBlazer. Not only is it the best SNES game I've yet played, but it's also the best RPG I've yet played as well. SFC: well, technically, you said "SNES" (Super Nintendo Entertainment System), but if you had included "SFC" (Super FamiCom) games: then I would nominate DoReMi Fantasy: Milon's DokiDoki Adventure. Best platformer I've yet played.
