@xkhazoh big news for you dude, Whenever i tried to start a multiplayer game of Conviction i was getting the 'general error etc etc' so i posted on the ubisoft conviction forums and got a reply that it is a common error for windows OS with no obvious reason for why it happens. the only workaround at this time is to plug in a webcam and or a microphone and somehow that makes it work. I tried it and it worked for me so id suggest you do the same!

I already have a microphone plugged in. I also pleaded my case on the steam forums, hoping i'll get a response.

After doing a quick google search, the problem may be from the graphics card if it isn't up to date. If it is updated, then you may have to manually turn off antialiasing in the game's files.

Xkhaoz

okay then...... how do I do that?

It may be in the game's .ini file, look around for that. If not, try checking for any updates for your graphics card.
EDIT the file is called SplinterCellUser, open it and at the bottom is the antialiasing and other graphics settings options.

Yeah, I'm doubting i'll get a new pc out of them. i'm still 13, but I'm planning on getting a summer job (spend it all on games off of eBay, a RetroN3, Cafe, PS3, and eventually a gaming pc)

Since your having problems running some of your games, here's some suggestions: Save up your money to buy a new, more powerful PC. Or you can just go buy a new graphics card, more ram, and a more powerfull processor for your current PC.

Buying a good computer is not all that expensive like what they use to be, especially if you look in the right places.

If you're too young (don't know what age you are) and still living with your parents, then see if you can get them to buy a better computer.

I suggest checking out New Egg.com they are always running specials on both whole systems and parts. I got my PC from them about a year ago for $700 and its a great gaming computer. Not sure what you are looking for but I hope that helps.

I am in the midst of building my new computer. I have a case (Antec 902 V3), a mobo (Asus p8p67 LG1155), and Ram (8 GB of DDR3; 1600 MHz @ 1.5 V G.Skill) so far. Getting an i5 2500k and debating on the GTX 560 Ti for a graphics card. Might be a bit too much money though. Will come to $1100 after tax with that card. But I also need a keyboard :/

VVVVVV is half off.

I'm pretty sure my computer can run this one! Thief is 75% off. Both look like neat games.
