Sorry about my absence, lost power for 4 days

One more day for the Ubisoft sale? I was lucky they didn't have the Splinter Cell games on sale while I didn't have power o.O

Hey, i scrounged up $3.40, and I'm gonna pick up a Splinter Cell game, and I'm thinking the original, or Chaos Theory, but i can't decide which. The original (more likely to run better, can play in front of parents due to T rating) or Chaos Theory (probably a better game, and multiplayer)?

I'd go with the first one since it'd probably run better. Even for being an old game, it's pretty fun so far from what I played.

Hmm, yeah, but I've checked and I can run Chaos Theory. But still, a smoother game, or multiplayer... that's the real question.

Go with smoother gameplay. Supposedly the multiplayer in CT is fairly meh.

Xkhaoz

Hmmm, okay then. But i've still got an hour or two before i can buy it. I'll look around, but i'm probably gonna get the first.

Well, I found an extra $3.40 laying around, so I'll just get both of them. Smooth gameplay and multiplayer unless someone recomends something good for $6.80 on the next 5 minutes

Meh, I'll buy it in about 5 minutes. Rrgh, sometimes i hate steam sales. they always make me think all deep and hard. well, as it'll be awhile before they'll be on sale again i suppose, i'll get the the splinter cells. i was considering maybe a HL1 mod, or Alien vs. Predator 2000, but they'll be on sale soon i guess. still..... can't really decide. And there's a ton of cool stuff on GOG.....

Okay, I know own the original Splinter Cell and Chaos Theory. Hey irk, you wanna do the co-op campaign in Chaos Theory sometime if it works?

Chaos Theory is awesome. I keep hearing that it's the best, but I have only played a short amount of the first, none of the second. Conviction is just a different beat entirely.

Sure, though I haven't started playing that one yet

And, of course, something HAS to go wrong. Chaos Theory apparently needs a stupid shader. and the original gives me this error message:
General protection fault!
