Well its nice that they are doing something here in Canada but it only makes a difference if your in Toronto, Vancouver or Montreal. There are other cities. Where is the prairie province representation?

@ NNID_DESS-M-8

I do not believe that ThomasBW84 thinks he is above you. The comments of "Review is wrong beyond description. This game is brilliant." and "Could I please be commissioned to have a real review published on your site for this title?" shows a lack of the art of criticism.

It is not appropriate to just say some one is flat out wrong. Constructive feed back is needed if you feeling something is incorrect. For example, Thomas referred to other games like Retro's DK and Ducktales at different points in the review to give a sense of how he felt the physics are to relate with the audience.

In the case of differing opinions a well thought out counter argument can convey how your impressions of the controls are.

Regardless of the industry the first impressions of the person you are selling to are never incorrect. Some people just do not like it and they are not wrong about it. Feed back makes a better product.

If you you want to write your own review then please do and leave it in the forums to let other people see. there is no need to be commissioned to do so as most game reviewers start off writing as a labour of love. As they get better and prove themselves then they get to make a living from it.

Remember, Just saying it is wrong does not help. Saying why you feel it is can be helpful. How you do brings it to an art.

Try I found my experience with the game to be different. This is what I liked. These are some things I found to be different then what I saw in this review.

Words seasoned with salt.

Now that I'm thinking about it this would have been a good time to give away an amiibo statue as a physical reward. It usually takes months to prep the physical rewards anyway. they would have been out by time they shipped them.

There is one problem with giving away games. The way we get to gold or elite is by buying games. Most people acquired the coins by getting the games they want. By giving away games they are either giving away games that people have already acquired or are giving away games that we didn't buy in favor of other games.

The physical items give us an unique item, The Mario cap or the statue that they gave away the first couple years were prime examples of items people would not normally have.

The blue shell on the n64 was more balanced and useful Since it traveled along the ground it could actually be stopped and disappear on some maps due to jumps. Also it would hit any player along the path.

As a person in 8th, I cant really see the use in hitting only the guy in first as it has no bearings on my current position but only serves to annoy the first place person. When you got it on the n64, when it hit any player along the way to first it actually was more useful to the guy in 8th since he was able to plow the road a head of him and actually gain a position instead of hoping for a more useful item next item box if he gets one.

Yay. A Nintendo initiative that make us do the work and coordinating to get together so they don't have the overhead of a real event. It's a good thing too because it would be hard to plan something like a Nintendo 3DS/DS/DSi Lan party with competitions and free swag because they would then have to choose locations. Now it is up to us to randomly choose a public free venue to congregate because Nintendo said so.

I will put in just as much effort as Nintendo has of this one and randomly circle a day on the calender.

I know that last part sounds bad but to me it looks like they are encouraging Loitering. When I look at my city I see someone chose the forks. While it is a very public place, for someone to show up there for a gathering with no official event driven by a large company sounds kinda sad. I am disappointed in Nintendo on this one.

Well maybe we need to take a poll. We have enough people here who have played games from a young age that are adults who should show signs of chronic violent tendency from years of exposure.

Hey Corbs. Are you violent or angry?

Rob_mc_1 commented on Talking Point: Should Nintendo Have Made the 3...:

I think we are seeing the beginning of a transition period where both are included in the same package. A few examples are:
1) Portal 2. (PS3 owners received a steam version.)
2) Disney Movies. (when the Blu-ray/dvd/digital copy is registered you also get the streamed version.)
3) Starcraft 1 and 2. (If you register either of the physical to battlenet you can forget about the disc and download the installer)

The thing that can make it easier is the ability to turn your old hard copies into digital copies and to me that is where Blizzard raises the bar. I was surprised when the first Starcraft could be a digital copy for existing owners. Nintendo has a long way to go. I have a lot of games registered to my Club Nintendo account and I'm pretty sure that my hard copies that are registers will never be ported to future DS/Wii/GCN virtual consoles. They would rather repackage it and resell it.

Rob_mc_1 commented on Steel Diver Sinks Without Trace at UK Retail:

I'm not surprised. Thinking back to the DS the something similar happened and most if the first generation DS titles were discontinued and only had about 2 million in sales.

Super Princess Peach, Yoshi Touch & Go, Picross DS, Tetris DS, Polarium, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, etc.

5 years from now Steel Diver will end out being a game with a limited production run and people will start looking for the first party titles they missed out on.

For a new console the numbers are probably where they normally are for the franchises they represent.

I'm keeping my Street Pass and Spot Pass disabled indefinitely. I find the street pass concept of transmitting and exchanging data without user input to be a security risk and the spot pass searching and connecting to any internet connection to be a bit too much like war driving for my liking.

@3 I'm sure Nintendo would have registered the name before it were ever to be leaked out. I'm also sure they would also register all the other names there are thinking about as well.

Nintendo of America Inc. currently has 2,953 domains. I wish I had the money to look at what they registered.

In your story about the domain names they have bought, including thelaststory.com, it was register over a year before the article was published.

Rob_mc_1 commented on Research Firm Predicts 12m 3DS Sales by 2012, ...:

I think the 3DS sales will depend on the number of iterations of the console. The number of DS/Lite/DSi/XL sold does not reflect the actual install base due to people owning multiple Consoles.

http://www.nintendolife.com/forums/ds/what_color_ds_do_you_have

Nintendo already said there wont be a Lite version because they already used what they learned in the 3DS. they only other iteration I can think of is a 3DS XL. Then again only Nintendo would know.

Great review. This is one of the games I pre-ordered. I'm also glad you didn't count Wuhu Island as a negative. People seem to forget about game play is more important to this game then the setting. Looking to the SNES version proved that.
The thing I'm looking to is is if you can decide to not pull the parachute when sky diving like in the original.

Even if this were to come to Club Nintendo in North America I wouldn't be able to get it for a few reasons.
1) Manitoba laws says that on Sunday business can only be open from 12pm - 6pm.
2) Even if number 1 wasn't an issue, a midnight launch would probably be an hour too late as the eastern time zone would have a head start over central time.

So it is "Limited" to the Wii life cycle and not in the sense of quantity. Maybe it is just limited until they re-port the game into another media. I think they could have maintained a bit of integrity to the term limited for the box product if at this point they were to release it on the virtual console for the people who still want to play it.

If life were like an RPG all we would have to do is look for an opponent with loot to drop and repeat until we get what we want. Too bad real life gets in the way and suddenly there are assault, theft and possible breaking and entering charges and jail time especially for repeat offenders.
