I just finished playing the demo to this game on the XLA, and it was amazing!
How long is the game, and how long is it if you are trying to get all the collectibles? Is it worth my Microsoft points? If I get this, should I get the sequel? Banjo Tooie?
I never played the originals completely, only a couple of times, and they were amazing... the XBLA enhanced remakes don't include extra levels, but they do have extra collectibles, 200 G worth of achievements to get, and the Stop 'N' Swop connectivity that was originally planned for the Nintendo 64 version of the games...
I think they are worth every cent, specially if you get them together... and remember if you have Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts too, they have Stop 'N' Swop connectivity with it too

Well i had it on the N64 and from my point of view Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie where the best 3D platform games at the time even do i still prefer Super Mario 64, Banjo-Kazooie was in someway superior do to it's interesting text.
If you've never played them on the N64, definitely get them both. Both great games. The first game is about 5-10 hours long depending on how good you are at it and if you're going for 100% completion. The second one is much longer, more like at least 10 hours or more.
The only thing I can pick at it is how much you will go back to previous levels, just for note collection. As you need near all notes to get to Grunty at the end. But, still get it. I still love playing it.
The first time you play through it, it will take some time and lots of deaths (watch out for clankers carvern), and you will be able to find alot of replayablilty, until your 30+ playthrough where you could probs get all Jiggies with your eyes closed, but the constant rhyming nonsense Grunty mutters is always amusing. Don't be tempted to get 2 until you get a good way though this one, cause if you do, you will play that one alot more than the original.

You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
It's one of the best game on the N64. Yes, you should buy it.
I hear its amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on hari-kiri rock!!! I NEED SCISSORS!!! 61!!!
@Xkhaoz RARE has lost their magic IMO. They're just not as good as they used to be. Nintendo sold RARE just in time. Since then the games they've made have only been decent.

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is awesome, specially because it doesn't fit in any of the conventional game types, but is a combination of other kind of games. Kameo: Elements of Power was originally planned as a GameCube title, then continued development for the Xbox and finally released as an Xbox 360 launch title, one of the best (and few, there aren't that many) plattformers on a non-Nintendo system. I even loved Grabbed by the Ghoulies! it's a funny and underrated gem of last gen, I can't believe I got it for $4 brand new! lol

If you have an N64, I'd go on Amazon and get the cartridge. While digitally having it is cool, there's nothing like the authentic feel of playing the game on the original console with the original controller. But if you don't have an N64, just get it on XBLA and enjoy it.

Thanks guys for your words of video game wisdom! I'll get a Microsoft points card ASAP and buy this, and if I like it, which I probably will, then I'll get the sequel, Banjo Tooie! See you guys later!
Wait, didn't Nintendo publish that? How the hell did M$ get it?!?!?! Wii didn't even get that! Seriously, that is some serious BS. I know Rare developed it, but come on!
The Game.
Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

Rare = owned by Microsoft.
No confusion, really.

The constant note collecting got to me a little, but they made it much easier in Tooie so you won't be collecting the same notes over and over.

I haven't played Ghoulies and I just recently started to play Kameo and it's good so far but about Nuts & Bolts... I waited years for a sequal and when it finally comes out it contains just 20% plattformer and 80% vechiles I got a little pissed off. And the missions were kinda repetitive.
