I'm only adding people when they say their team is ready, rather than just saying they want to join. Chances are a few (or several) will drop out by the deadline.

Also, just to clarify a point that may not have been entirely clear in the first post: All participating Pokémon must be Lv5 or below. Battles will be played in Singles mode without auto-raising levels.

I know that Black 2 supports WPA, but I still can't get Black 2 to acknowledge my WPA WiFi connection on my 3DS. Any ideas on how to fix that?
P.S. I can't enter this round, but I would like to try one of these tournaments.

EDIT: Or maybe not. I kinda gave my White version to my brother now that I've got W2, and now I don't have much access to anything. But maybe I'll manage a derp team.

If your team is nearly there but just not quite, still let me know and I'll still add you in - we've got 2 weeks to do the battling, so it's no big deal if that last egg just isn't hatching right

I'm afraid I have to update to say I can't compete I guess I don't have much of an excuse, but I've been a little busier than I expected. Assuming there will be future competitions, I'm in for the next ones under the circumstance I have quick access to the Pokemon, which I currently don't have.

I'll add a quick comment about the skill level gap: I have absolutely no idea what kind of mix to expect from the NL community - obviously we're not a dedicated Pokéforum so I don't know whether to expect a majority of trainers practicing IV/EV training with competitive strategy, or more 'casual' teams. Obviously EV trainers will trounce casual trainers, which I recognize will be a turn-off to casual players competing if they know categorically that they're going to lose the first round every time. Again, I'm going to play this by ear to learn what to expect, and try to find ways to balance the field for all players (as far as reasonably possible) in future tournaments.
As ever, there's likely to be elasticity and a lack of balance in the first few tourneys. Assuming this thread survives beyond that though, a comfortable (and fun!) middle ground should be achievable.
