Note: In the interest of fair play, please do not post information regarding your opponents team when competing in tourneys.
Tourneys! Let's get some going. Every month, we'll hold a tourney. The theme will be different each month - double battles, rotation battles, little cup, legends cup, etc, and you'll have two weeks to put together your team. After that, players will be paired up, and it's on to the battling!
How to play
- First off, let us know if you're interested in joining. Your name will be put down and you'll have until the deadline date (below) to get your team together.
- Once your team's together, post that you're ready to battle and you'll go on the list proper - this'll prevent us making pairings with players who haven't got their team ready by the time for battle.
- After the deadline (a couple of days before battling starts), I'll match together players to battle. Arrange a time to battle with your opponent, and then post the result.
- The tourney structure might vary depending on how many players there are - so if you lose, you might still have some more battles to play.
- The winner... wins! Your picture shall hang proudly nearby the Hall of Fame. There's no other prizes. It's just for fun.
- At the start of the next month, we do it all again! A new tourney, and new rules.
October 2012 - Little Cup
ROUND 1 BATTLE DEADLINE: FRIDAY 26TH OCTOBER
Seeing as Black 2 and White 2 are almost upon us and we'll all be starting a fresh new adventure, let's kick things off with a Little Cup tourney. This is all about unevolved, low-level Pokémon. The key to success here is in the breeding! Find strong moves to breed onto your team members to trounce the competition.
Rules

3 vs 3 Single Battle
All participating Pokémon must be able to evolve and be at the lowest stage of their evolution
All participating must be equal to or below Lv 5
Species Clause: All participating Pokémon must be unique - ie, you can't enter a team of 3 Phanpy
Sleep Clause: You may only put one of your opponent's Pokémon to sleep at any one time. (Putting a second of your own Pokémon to sleep [via Rest, for eg] does not break this clause)
The moves Sonic Boom and Dragon Rage are banned, due to the fixed damage they cause and the low HP of the participants. OHKO moves are also banned (Guillotine, Fissure, etc)
Self KO: If you knock out your final Pokémon (Explosion, etc), you lose the battle even if the attack also knocked out your opponent's final Pokémon
Nicknames: Pokémon may not be nicknamed with the name of another Pokémon - eg, you may not nickname a Pidgey "Ratatta"
F.E.A.R. strategy is banned
The Pokémon Carvanha, Gligar, Scyther, Sneasel, Tangela, Vulpix, and Yanma are considered Uber in Little Cup, and therefore may not be entered. Murkrow and Misdreavous are also banned, they are too powerful for 3 vs 3 teams.
The ability Moody may not be used.
The items Berry Juice and DeepSeaTooth are banned.</ul>This will be played as a standard tree tourney - pairs of players face each other, and the winner goes on to the next round.
